Login Problems

So, I ordered the preorder version but havent really had time to play yet. And I know that my full version will arrive in two days but still I thought I would try the head start...

Managed to set up a Codemasters account and subscribe with my preorder key. The game login works fine, I get the list of the 5 worlds. After this the problem emerges. The game starts up full-screen and starts searching for logon server but all of the 20 attempts are unsuccessful. Then I get the message "GAME ERROR Connection failed: Client timed out the connection"

What's the issue here?

Try disabling your firewall and try again to see if it works. It sounds like your firewall is blocking the game.

That would be the logical assumption yes, but the thing is I dont really have a firewall... the Windows firewall is disabled and aside from that, nothing... there is some kind of antivirusprogram, which has not really been working ever since I got the computer but it's still kinda running in the background. Might that be the reason?

Also, in the login part it says

News Feed Error:
This is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'TAGEND'. Line 31, position 3.

Meaning?

That is a bug they are working on at the moment and it shouldn't be affecting connecting to the game. Try posting the same thread in the techincal assistance forum, you might get some more help there.
