Default Fate? Broken?

Anyone tell me why I see a number of threads saying it is broken?

because it seems fate doesn't make any difference regarding your in combat regeneration

After reading this I decided to test so I went to fight a low level mob to see what would happen.

1. unbuffed with full gear on I was getting 9 power per tick back.
2. unbuffed with all my fate gear removed I was getting 9 power per tick back.
3. buffed with all my fate gear on I was getting 9 power per tick back
4. buffed with all my fate gear off I was getting 9 power per tick back.

My buff gives me 38 fate and my gear gives me another 38 fate my base fate is 75 and that gives exactly the same power regenation in combat as double that... sounds broken to me.

Fate should also add to critical succes when healing but I don't have any statistics for that so you might not want to disgard all your fate gear at once but you certainly shouldn't put any emphasizes on it.

i had over 100 fate , have a racial also for 20 fate, and i checked crit on heals. Once in 10 casts or so. Regen was still about 10 mana per tick during combat.

So i decided to remove all fate since it seemed pointless anyway.

Btw is it me or do i get more crits from the Critical stat ? I thought it only applied to meelee but now that i made a solo medium armor set with agil/might and my crit % raised a bit i seem to get more crits on my nukes also. Could be imagining things ofcourse.

Solo might/agil set rocks with solo traits . I block , parry, evade like a madman hehehe.

Hmm,

Honestly, I can not remember a single time, when I got a critical heal...

Anyway I don't really think it is that useful either. You usually heal with a certain "rhythm" to it and just have to get a feeling when to start it. A critical more or less would benefit you much less then the (quite frequent) criticals on offense.

So, even if fate would influence that I'd say, it's completely useless.

If it would influence power regeneration in combat it would be useful, but as it is, I stopped getting fate items some time ago...

I think tests of really high fate did show some difference in regen but its a real waste of slots to get there. + power regen items are a much better idea in combination with +vitality/+will.

im only lvl 21 btw but the crit heals arent even worth it. so you get 20 extra heal on a crit. kick ass . not !

I was wondering about this... it REALLY needs to do as it states, because I've not noticed any difference. I think I might put all my fate stuff into storage and start getting better equipment...

hum, guys... isn't it 100 fate = 1 point of regeneration in combat?
I think it is not broken, it's ok, the number is just too high

just as 100 agility = 1 crit chance
