As I upgraded to Vista about a week ago, I'd like to mention to Vista users that Maelstrom works flawlessly (well it does for me).
I'm using the 97.## beta driver (which doesn't even support my graphics card, being a 7800 GTX) and every graphic feature in the game works - no corruption, and my widescreen resolution is also supported (1440x900). However, the game runs slower compared to 2000/XP, but this is nVidia's fault as they can't code a driver to save their life. Regarding sound, if the game supports surround (not sure about this as I don't use surround) you won't have it since the game uses DirectSound, which no longer exists in Vista. Too bad KDV didn't use OpenAL ![]() Here is my system spec if people wish to view what type of system it works fine on: AMD FX-55 ClawHammer @ 2.6GHZ 2GB PC3200 RAM (4x 512MB) MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum nForce 4 Ultra Motherboard MSI GeForce 7800 GTX 256MB Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Windows Vista Business 32-bit Aero is running when I play the game, but the sidebar is completely disabled (causes everything to lag every couple of seconds). Regarding graphics settings, I run everything at maximum with 4x AA and 8x AF. Frame rate can drop to as low as 10 FPS when attacking an enemies base (would be 20-30 on 2000/XP). Just thought I'd mention this if Vista users wish to purchase this game and are worried that it won't run.
