Default cummon guys, ATTENTION TO DETAIL...

Just watched the trailer... That is an M-16 the character is holding, NOT an MP-5. You don't charge it by pulling back on something on the left side of the weapon, you charge it (i.e. put a round in the chamber) by pulling back on the charging handle just behind the rear sight.

Does not bode well for game realism...

It's a game set 40 years in the future in which the earth is being invaded by an alien menace intent on exploiting a human race weakened by ecological catastrophe and and a war between the remianaing factions of humanity divided into a totalitarian technocracy that features giant vehicles that transform into robots and buildings, and the rag-tag bunch of resistance fighters standing up for the human spirit.

The side on which a character cocks his rifle in a cutscene isn't really anything important in the grand scheme of what the game is about.

now if you're an expert on real-world alien menaces and/or giant transformable vehicles and/or fighting a guerilla campaign against either, then please enlighten us.

Otherwise, take your trolling elsewhere.

I'm with RFT on this one. This game hasn't professed to include a realistic depiction of modern conventional weapons, it's not a simulator and unless it states to be 'realistic'; which it hasn't then i don't see the problem. At least it includes cocking of the M-16, on which side it doesn't matter, especially with a game like this. Considering it's set in the future with aliens, lasers, fusion reactors etc it's inconsequential.

This game looks awesome, finally a strategy game with modern weapons against different kind of opponents. This & World in Conflict i'm really looking forward to.

Cool look carefully

if you have the Maelstrom fansite kit look real carefully at the man in the middle of shot0027. Notice his right foot is inside the ground? I'm guessing that there are still some bumps to smooth out?

Cool soft ground hee hee

Yeah, that's cool, but that's probably something that needs to be watched, people generally don't like to play games when there are numerous glitches like tha tin them.
