I believe it will be like DDO, as we are talking Turbine and CM wroking together for this launch. DDO didnt have much delay tho, so a week or two is what I hope for

I'm hoping for a simultaneous launch to get optimal fun factor and equalled character progressing (besides the powerlevellers), but looking at DDO it's as Nagoth mentioned, 1-2 weeks after US launch. But if Europe gets their own shard/server, then i wouldn't mind if we started a month later (although anticipation gets the blood going )

I'd just like to correct you a little there. DDO EU English language head start launched the same day as US went retail. Three days later EU ENG language retail went live, (and downloadable French and German language) so all in all, there was very little gap ![]() We don't have any official word on this as yet. There's a big face to face meeting coming up in the next month or so and it will be interesting to see if any of these sorts of decisions are made. I still think it's a little early but i can assure you we will battle for simulataneous (or very near to) launch as it's the best option.

I was mainly speaking about the headstart time difference.
EU DDO started 1 week later then US DDO. EDIT: Just depends if servers are mixed or or shared for EU/US. I played the US DDO Headstart and subsequently quit after powerleveling to level 10 in 4 days. (next levelcap raise wont be coming for weeks and the content is extremely repetitive anyways). If US/EU servers would be shared for LOTR-O and EU starts later then US, you'll notice a big level gap in favor of US (see above reason) Last edited by Ciryadin; 07-03-2006 at 11:06 AM. |
