As far as I can see this with the new LI changes is that Runekeepers, the worst class in the game, is going to be "buffed" again. With the changes that all LIs will level to 60, and that thirdagers will level to 60 more cheaply than secondagers and firstagers. This in combination with that dps on a weapon doesnt matter for a RK means they will more easily get a good weap that deals more damage while the rest of the dpsdealing world need to get second/first to get the dps up.
The only thing here that I might have missed is that if the thirdagers gets less legacy points than the others. If not, this is even one more move to increase an even overpowered class. |

I find it unbelivable that people start new "RK threads" while there are so many existing already...just unbelivable...

It might be so as you say that there are tons of rk threads, but IM pretty sure that none of those threads are concerning the fact that LIs are chaning in SoM thus this thread.
One could also see the thread as a question in how it will be worth to use a 2nd/1st ager in the beginning due to the fact that the 3rd agers will reach 60 much faster with less ixp invested. Does anyone know if 3rd/2nd/1st get different amount of legacy points to invest? |

*Sigh*
Before everybody starts flaming the OP, he does have a very valid point... although it does apply to all tactical classes, and could have worded/titled it better. But as the RK is a true DPS class (we're often told) albeit tactical DPS, singling it out is appropriate in this case. The way it appears the new LI's system is shaping up, weapons based DPS classes are going to have to get new LI's after SoM's release to keep up in the damage dealing stakes. A RK, which some suggest is already overpowered won't have to bin his/her first aged stone (if they're happy with the legacies)... and as an added bonus they get a load more points to plough into their damage dealing legacies, effectively a free buff. A hunter (for example) on the other hand will have to start over, scrap their nice perfect (level 59-60) first aged bows etc, and go look for new ones at level 65, however long that might take... and when they do find one... they have to plough half their points into the DPS legacy. Before anyone get on their high horse.. I've used the comparison of a hunter/RK in this situation because I have both characters.. and they are the closest comparable that I play. And as far as I can see, there is a HUGE imbalance looming!

Not sure they will get a load more points to spend. IIRC the dev who posted on the US forums said that lvl 60 items don't have many more legacy points than lvl 50s do. We're assuming the legacy points go on stacking up, but that doesn't seem a correct assumption.
