Default Newcastle game

I will hopefully post the summer transfers tonight, but here is my intro for my Newcastle game.

Newcastle and Leeds have recently sacked their managers and yesterday afternoon they both appointed new managers. Newcastle have hired Snaily as their new boss. Snaily says that he is delighted to be offered such a top job. He immediately rushed home to tell his best friend Max. When he got there, however, he found that Max was already there, waiting for him. Max, however, was not looking very happy. He looked concerned.

After a few moments of silence, Max declared, gI have just been appointed manager of Leeds, but I donft think Ifm up to it. You know what Ifm like. Last time I managed Leeds on L.M.A. Manager, they got relegated to division 2.h

gItfs O.K.,h said Snaily, gIfll help you, even though I myself only managed to get them to finish 12th in the premiership.h

gHow can you help me when you work full-time in London?h said Max.

gI no longer work in London,h replied Snaily, gfor I have just been appointed manager of Newcastle.h

24th July Newcastle make their first signing of the season. Tevez joins the squad from Boca Juniours for 6m.
6th August Newcastle have loaned Petit as a temporary replacement for Speed.
11th August Dyer has made up with his manager after being angry at him for dropping him in the friendly matches. He has signed a four-year contract.

After the transfer deadline closed, Snaily and Max were both interviewed about the transfers they made during the summer.

Snaily, you brought in; Tevez from Boca Juniours for 6m.
de Jong from Ajax for 4.5m.
Petit from Chelsea on loan.
Silvestre from Man. Utd on loan.
and you sold; Chopra to Marseille for 8.5m.
Speed to Hearts for 3.1m.
Elliot to Leeds for free.
and you also sent Bridges back to Leeds.

Yes, I am looking to build a good young squad, which is why I signed Tevez and de Jong. This is also why I sold Speed and Elliot. Elliot went for free as Max is a friend of mine and he couldnt pay the full 1.5m.

Why did you sell Chopra?

I sold Chopra for the money, I already had 5 strikers and a young lad like that needs to be at least on the bench and if hed stayed, he would have been 6th choice and wouldnt have got a game.

What about your other negotiations this summer?

I am always looking to loan in players, so I am delighted to have Petit and Silvestre and Bridges wasnt in my first 16, so I didnt need him.

Max, you brought in; Elliot from Newcastle for free.
Boyd from Kilmarnock for 4m.
And you sold; Radebe to Kilmarnock for 2m.
McPhail to Bradford for 1.8m.
Johnson to Aberdeen for 1.5m.
And you also recalled; Singh, Mills and Bridges.

I recalled my loaned out players because I want to build a good squad with all my players available. I signed Boyd because hes good and young. I signed Elliot because he was free and I am lacking in defenders. I sold Radebe because of age and I sold McPhail and Johnson because they werent going to play and I got good offers for them.

I will hopefully post the first 6months tomorrow or Sunday

forgot about this!

Summer wheelings and dealings for Leeds.

18th July Maxs plans are to get rid off the unused loanings, so Caldwell returns to Newcastle.
23rd July Singh and Mills are recalled by Leeds.
25th July At 34, Leeds central defender Radebe is deemed too old to play in new boss Maxs team so he joins Kilmarnock for 2m.
27th July 30-year-old Elliot is Maxs first signing off the summer. He came from Newcastle on a free transfer.
29th July Boyd, a 20-year-old striker from Kilmarnock becomes Maxs second signing of the summer. He joins for 4m.
31st July Leeds send back Sakho, as he isnt needed anymore.
4th August McPhail has too much midfield competition at Leeds, so he joins Bradford for 1.8m.
9th August Harte has ended rumours around Elland road suggesting that he wants to leave the club, by signing a new four-year contract.
26th August Leeds have just sold 5th choice striker Johnson to Aberdeen for 1.5m.

Newcastle 4-0 Elche Bellamy Shearer Robert Ambrose
Newcastle 4-0 Colo-Colo Viana Robert Shearer Bellamy

Newcastle 1-0 F.C. Copenhagen 52, 193 Shearer
A worrying start to the Champions league campaign. Neither side looked capable of beating a team like Real Madrid or A.C. Milan. It took a last minute Shearer goal to win the game.

Southampton 0-3 Newcastle Dyer x2 Bellamy

F.C. Copenhagen 0-3 Newcastle 40,204 Shearer Robert Silvestre
A better performance all round by Newcastle. Completely outclassed F.C. Copenhagen. Ambrose came on at half time and ran rings around their defence.

Wolves 2-1 Newcastle Shearer

Everton 1-2 Newcastle Viana Bellamy

Newcastle 4-0 Lyon 38,722 Viana Robert Bellamy x2
A crucial match in the Champions League. Both sides hit the woodwork early on, but Lyon collapsed in the second half.

Newcastle 6-2 Birmingham Silvestre Bellamy x2 Shearer x3
Man. City 1-4 Newcastle Bellamy x2 Dyer Shearer

Bayern Munich 0-2 Newcastle 59,756 Jenas Bellamy
Newcastle once again did the business in front of 60,000 people. Santa Cruz hit the post early on and Given then had to save a penalty from him. But Newcastle cam out strong in the second half. Snaily put on Petit, de Jong and Bowyer in the second half. It worked a treat. Bowyer set up both goals and Newcastle now look good at the top of the group.

Newcastle 2-2 Bolton Bellamy Shearer
Liverpool 3-2 Newcastle Shearer Bellamy

Newcastle 2-1 Djurgardens I.F. 35,477 Lua Lua Shearer
Djurgardens amazed the toon army. They came out on fire and scored in the first five minutes. Newcastle were taken aback and found it difficult to get a foothold in the match until a bad piece of defending let Shearer in. After that Newcastle dominated and eventually won it with a Lua Lua strike from a tight angle.

Newcastle 3-0 Leicester Woodgate Jenas Bellamy
LG. CUP 3rd round Newcastle 4-2 Leicester Shearer Bellamy x3
