Isaksson Replaced?
Has Andreas Isaksson been replaced by Marco Amelia? Well it certainly seems that way, seeing as Marco Amelia has now started many more games than Isaksson. Case had this to say: "Andreas was, well, still is a top class keeper, but he's getting on a bit. At 26 he doesn't really fit into my young squad. He's had a bad start to the season and I think he will have a bad ending as well, because I plan to sell him unless his performance improves. Marco is a year younger than Andreas, and has conceded very few in the amount of games he's played. I plan to sign a 16-20 year old keeper in January to provide back up for Amelia."

Farewell to Elland Road!
Leeds United FC have recently moved from their beloved stadium Elland Road to the newly built, 80,000 seater Callis Tech Stadium. Case said this was a big step forward as more money would be generated from gate receipts and sales and revenue. The final game at Elland Road was a triumphant 3-0 win over Arsenal, who they later knocked out of the European cup.

--

Isaksson staying put!
Andreas Isaksson ended the 2007/2008 season on a very high note, with an overwhelming amount of clean sheets and his games/conceded tally at Played: 20 Conceded: 20. Case said that this meant Andreas would be staying for at least 2 more years, until he is 29. Isaksson has high hopes for next season and hopes he can stay in between the posts for Leeds as long as he can.

Wage Bill needs trimming!
Case has been ordered by the board of directors to trim the weekly wage bill by £14k. With Frank Butterfield and Francisco Gallardo on the transfer list, the trimming should take no time at all, and should allow Case some freedom in the transfer market, because Gallardo is on such a high wage. Case is already scouting to defenders; a french left-back from Bayern Munich and an Italian centre-back from AC Milan. Case also has his eyes on a few keepers for when Amelia and Isaksson are too old to play with his young squad.

--

LUFC Losing out!
Case's Leeds side lost out in the Champions League last night against AC Milan. Leeds had overcome all odds to be there, beating Liverpool, Rangers and Arsenal on their way there. The game went into Extra Time, and just after the whistle blew to start the first half of Extra Time young midfielder Joaquin sneaked a header past Andreas Isaksson, and won the game for Milan. Case insists that they will be back even stronger next year, and even stand a chance of winning.
