Thanks for looking at my new thread. I've just bought the Xbox360 version so i'll now be playing on that, and this update is my first save file on it
Also, this update will (hopefully) be in a different style to the other one! But as usual of course, some team stats and a press-conference, to "wet your appetite." ROOMS KATHOLIEKE COMBINATIE WAALWIJK (RKC WAALWIJK) DUTCH EREDVISIE Bank Balance: £2,500,000 Transfer Funds: £1,750,000 Wage Budget: £24,000 ![]() Mandemakers- home of RKC Waalwijk Capacity: 7,500 A first has just occurred in football, as a child has been taken on Work Experience to manage a football club! Harry England, a 12-year-old from Waltham Abbey (England) takes the placement in Holland, with a view to a permanent job! Ad Hassier, the Waalwijk chairman was delighted with the news. "It's something original, and hopefully we may get a few more fans through the doors by this move, they may want to see the 12-year-old mastermind." England too, was understandably delighted. "I can't believe i've been given full control of a squad for two whole weeks- the chairman says I can even buy and sell players, as long as he gives me the nod!" Fans were understandably shocked upon hearing the news that an unknown 12-year-old from across the pond would be managing them for any period of time. Forums and messageboards were filled with messages towards the chairman fuelling speculation as to what Waalwijk will acheive this season. So, Harry, a massive amount of expectation on your shoulders, what do you plan to do? Well being here, initially, at least, for only two weeks, I have to do something to make my mark- whether it be signing a really good player, or maybe selling one, or even starting plans on a stadium expansion. Although anything I do I have to be prepared to rectify if I get the job full-time. So what's your main priority then? I want to sign someone who the fans will remember for years to come. Maybe a young player, and when he's in the first team, I want people to be saying "Harry England signed him" and I really want to change people's opinions about a lot of things. What sorts of things? Oh, loads of stuff, about British people always being drunk and violent, young people being abusive and stupid etc. There's so much controversy surrounding this move, I just hope I can shut up some of my critics and pursue a dream career in football management. Ok, sounds good, it shall be interesting. Thanks for your time! Yeah, thanks, we'll catch up again in a few weeks! Thanks for reading- squad will be posted up tomorrow, along with my first few games in charge!

Here's the squad given to me at the beginning of my managerial reign! Sorry for bad grammar, it's 2 in the morning!
R. van Dijk - 37yo - £800,000 - 187cm - R-Footed - Dutch Rob will be our first-choice 'keeper, although he's not the best. Should do for this season, maybe only until January, but isn't an immediate problem. R. van Haaren - 33yo - £600,000 - 180cm - L-Footed - Dutch Not very good as a left-back. Will definitely be sold if we can, and he's getting on a bit too, so a younger model may be brought in. V. Veixeira - 32yo - £990,000 - 186cm - L-Footed - Dutch Virgilio is an experienced defender who we'll be looking to hold on to for this season at least. He's great in the air and very intelligent, although will mainly be used as a sub if we inevitably bring in another defender. S. Keller - 27yo - £1,500,000 - 190cm - R-Footed - Swiss Another very talented centre-back. Hopefully we can hang on to him too, as he's brilliant in the air and can play the ball along the floor too. F. van Mosselveld - 22yo - £1,900,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch His strongest position is at centre-back, but I don't feel he has the necessary height to be competing at this level in that position. Will hopefully be kept, unless the right offer comes in. R. Fúchs - 31yo - £1,100,000 - 170cm - L-Footed - Dutch Probably the second best midfielder here, doesn't need to immediately be strengthened as he's quite versatile, and will look to cement his place in the starting XI during the friendlies. D. Mulder - 21yo - £850,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch We're looking to send Dustley out on loan for the first season to gain experience, as he certainly isn't ready to be challenging for this place yet. If he can't be loaned out, he may have to wait out his time on the bench. L. Garcia - 21yo - £930,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Angolan Luwamo is, like Mulder, a great prospect, who we will again be hoping to loan out. Doesn't speak fluent Dutch either, which may be a slight hitch for him. M. Reuser - 31yo - £1,300,000 - 174cm - B-Footed - Dutch Martijn isn't the tidiest of midfielders, but i'm a big fan of his, and he should play at attacking-midfielder if nobody else is brought in. Also very versatile, so can play anywhere if injuries hit the squad. R. van den Bergh - 25yo - £3,300,000 - 178cm - R-Footed - Dutch Way overvalued in my opinion, so will be sold if possible. The whole forward-line is mediocre, so we'll be looking to replace him. H. van de Haar - 31yo - £1,300,000 - 186cm - R-Footed - Dutch Getting on a bit now, so we'll hopefully cash in on him this season if possible. But should definitely leave the club in the summer. J. Wevers - 26yo - £470,000 - 202cm - R-Footed - Dutch I'm still unsure about Jurgen. He is a massive presence in goal, but isn't really of the quality I expect at this standard, although could be handy as a utility 'keeper. P. van Diemen - 34yo - £1,100,000 - 185cm - R-Footed - Dutch Patrick will hopefully agree a move over the summer, as he isn't in the first team plans and is retiring at the end of the season. Will try and get some money for him. I. Vicelich - 30yo - £740,000 - 193cm - R-Footed - New Zealander Ivan is good as a backup defender to the first team. Has useful height for a centre-back, and good tackling ability. Will hopefully stay with the club. R. Berger - 26yo - £1,900,000 - 185cm - R-Footed - Dutch Another striker who will hopefully be part of the big clearout, although he is quite pacy and has a height advantage over the other strikers. He will be the last striker we hopefully get rid of. E. Putter - 24yo - £2,800,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch Eddy will hopefully secure a £5,000,000+ move over the summer, as a lot of clubs are interested, and he doesn't feature in my plans. R. Donk - 20yo - £820,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch Will be loaned out to gain some experience in the first season, but has good potential for the future so will hopefully be kept. Also a very versatile player, who can play anywhere across the back. T. Bakens - 23yo - £530,000 - 196cm - R-Footed - Dutch A bit too old to be kept for potential, will hopefully be offloaded during the summer as he is a true fringe player. No reason to keep him. T. Janssen - 20yo - £1,300,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch Tim i'm still unsure about. Will be loaned out, and monitored closely for his progress. I'll make a decision on his Waalwijk future in around January. N. van der Velden - 24yo - £1,200,000 - 180cm - R-Footed - Dutch Will definitely be offloaded over the summer, as he offers nothing to the squad, and will cut down on squad size and wage budget. J. Remacle - 19yo - £860,000 - 175cm - R-Footed - Belgian The same as Janssen, I don't really know how much potential he has. Will hopefully also be loaned out for the first season. There are also four players out on loan; a midfielder, and three forwards. Thanks for reading, first games up later today!

This Xbox version is strange, there seems to be very few goals, and rarely both teams score in a match. I'm not too keen on the match engine either, fast mode is too fast and difficult to get used to, which has resulted in me skipping most matches already :|"The squad at the moment is very heavy in strikers and defenders, so hopefully a lot of those will be sold or released early on" explained England. "I'll be looking to add a few midfielders to the squad, but with the low funds made available, it may have to be experienced players or loanees for now. If i'm still here next season; well; that's where the fun begins with a bigger wage budget and more money!" Pre season friendlies: 5th July: H v Albacete (Spanish Segunda) 12th July: H v Berwick Rangers (Scottish Third Division) 19th July: A v Hollandia (Dutch Non-League) July 1st 2006 Transfer target!Sparta Rotterdam have made public their desire to sign Luwamo Garcia of RKC Waalwijk. The Angolan man is very versatile, and can competently play anywhere across the midfield. "He is absolutely our top priority, and I will be very disappointed if we fail to sign him. He is a great young talent who I feel will fit into our squad perfectly" said the Sparta manager. England responded angrily by saying "Stop trying to unsettle my players. Luwamo is a first-team player here, and is in my plans. I will not even consider selling for less than £1,000,000." Retirement announced! Patrick van Diemen of RKC Waalwijk has dropped the bombshell that he will be retiring at the end of the forthcoming season. "I feel I have given all I can to football, and wish to enjoy my last year hopefully winning something. It would be lovely to acheive something with our new manager at the helm." July 2nd 2006 van Dijk recalled! Meanwhile, Dominique van Dijk has returned to Waalwijk after his loan spell at Sparta Rotterdam- which was due to continue until the end of the year- was terminated by Harry England. "We're short of midfielders and need some cover in that position; four is simply not enough, and Dominique will do the job when needed." July 3rd 2006 Graafland delighted! Henri Graafland of RKC Waalwijk has also earned himself a full-time contract in the first team, after his abilities caught the eye of the new manager. "He was playing superbly when i've watched the youth team in the past three days, so i've given him a permanent contract. Yes he's a striker- which we have in abundance- but he's a superb talent, and will hopefully be loaned out for some first team experience." July 3rd 2006 RKC Waalwijk 1 v 1 Albacete Waalwijk scorers: van de Haar Albacete scorers: Biagini Man of the Match: F. Noguerol (Albacete) Attendance: 6,478 (at Mandemakers) July 6th 2006 Youri-n luck! RKC Waalwijk have confirmed their first signing of the summer- Harry England's first as a manager. Youri Djorkaeff, the experienced Frenchman has joined the club. The cost is rumoured to be around £600,000 initially, but could rise depending on appearances. He signs from New York Red Bulls (USA). The attacking midfielder is well-travelled, having played in France, Italy, Germany, England, and America. He scored 28 times in 82 appearances for France between 1993 and 2002. ![]() Youri Djorkaeff- a French footballing legend July 9th 2006 Majic Mojic!Dragan Mojic has been unveiled as Waalwijk's second signing of the summer. Another experienced player, Mojic is generally used at left-back, although can play centre-back and in the midfield. The golden-oldie signs from Serbian outfit Hajduk Kula. July 12th 2006RKC Waalwijk 2 v 0 Berwick Rangers Waalwijk scorers: Fúchs, Garcia Berwick scorers: Man of the Match: R. Fúchs (Waalwijk) Attendance: 4,918 (at Mandemakers) July 14th 2006 (14:00) Permanent manager confirmed! From the official website: We have decided to offer the permanent job of manager to Harry England. We feel he has shown not brilliant managerial skills, but potential, and we are glad by some of the signings he has made. He is a very sensible lad, and keeps cool under pressure, and we have full faith in him for the season! July 14th 2006 (16:00) England haters! From the club's online forum: "What the hell are they thinking getting him permanently!" - Waalwijker "I thought it was a joke, but the nightmare continues!" - RKC Hans "I think he's made some good signings, leave the poor kid alone!" - England is our saviour "Well, we'll have to embrace him I s'pose, no good being haters." - Mandefan July 17th 2006 Naismith a done deal! Steven Naismith of Scottish Premiership outfit Kilmarnock has joned the club in a bargain deal. Ricky van den Bergh has parted with the club to make up part of the deal, and some money went with him too. Don't worry if you haven't heard of him, our scouts tell us he's the next big thing, and we trust their judgement! He is only young too, so will provide great service for years to come.

July 19th 2006
Hollandia 0 v 1 RKC Waalwijk Hollandia scorers: Waalwijk scorers: Naismith Man of the Match: S. Keller (Waalwijk) Attendance: 641 (at Juliana Park) July 20th 2006 Garcia on the move? Sparta Rotterdam have stepped up their interest in Waalwijk midfielder Luwamo Garcia. The Angolan has been quite clearly targeted throughout the summer, but the Rotterdam side have had an official bid of £500,000 immediately rejected. July 24th 2006 Let me leave for Sparta! RKC Waalwijk midfielder Luwamo Garcia has told his manager in no uncertain terms that he wishes to leave the club. He said "I feel Waalwijk lack the ambition, I want to be competing around the top, and I feel Sparta offer that to me. With Youri coming in too, it has jeapordised my place in the squad, and I wish to leave. July 28th 2006 Say goodbye to your Diemens! Retiring Patrick van Diemen has parted with the club for NEC. The 34-year-old said "It was said to me quite nicely that I wasn't in the manager's plans, and I told him that if it would be possible I would like to spend my last year getting games at a club. There's no hard feelings, maybe i'll come back as a coach one day!" July 31st 2006 Luwamo is a Waalwijk player! Waalwijk manager Harry England today issued a hands-off warning to Sparta Rotterdam, after they have been publicly courting his midfielder Luwamo Garcia. Despite Garcia being unhappy about not being allowed to fulfil his ambition, England responded to the media "He is a Waalwijk player for now, and is being very unprofessional. I'm not going to give him away for peanuts, and will only sell him if the price is right. At the moment, the club does not need to sell, so we won't." Thanks for reading, August up tomorrow!

Also, sorry for them being a bit jumbled, for some reason when you preview them before posting, loads of lines get between stuff, it cuts lines out, and it really písses me off, and when you try editing them out, more space gets in.
So I won't preview next time

What an idiot! R. van den Bergh is a legend, I had him once on PC and he scored 40 odd in the Championship!
And it's harder to score on the PC version. He's mint, along with Demouge in that league, two legendary strikers. Also, van den Bergh was amazing on the PS2 version so I'll be surprised if he's any different on the 360. |
