Default Best Goalkeeper

Who is the best goalkeeper in the Premiership? I say Reina. Cech is good but he has the best defender in the world in front of him imo. After Reina, it's either Robinson or Given.

Given IMO. He keeps Newcastle in so many games.

Cech all round.

Given and Reina are arguably the best two shot stoppers but there's more that a goalie needs, like commanding of the area, communication and ditribution.

Cech excels in all areas and is the Premierships best all-round keeper.

Petr Cech for me, with van der Sar in 2nd, and I'd go for Friedel as 3rd best - very underrated.
I don't think Reina's anything amazing, and while Given's a very good 'keeper he isn't the best in the Prem as many seem to think. Antti Niemi deserves a mention too.

Brad Fridel is good too, and Antti Niemi!

IMO, van der Sar is better than Cech and Given should be third! Then Friedel. I too think Friedel is very underrated, but he's not better than Given!

Edwin van der Sar
Petr Cech
Shay Given

Yeah, yeah, I here you already - I'm so biased...

i went for robinson as he is the best at everything a goalie needs.

Cech has a great defence in front of him, but when thet dont perform he makes silly mistakes and doesnt save his defence,eg.boro 3-0 chelsea.

Reina is good at shot stopping but lacks that aerial presence at that command of the box,

Friedel had his best season a couple of seasons ago, since then he has also made silly errors and so isnt a contender.

given is very good at newcastle but the fact that his team leeks goals means he doesnt compare to robinson.

VAN der sar is a world class keeper, and his performances this season for united mean he is probably number 2, but he has also made a few errors and so doesnt match robinson.

Robinson is arguably the best keeper in the world and englands number 1 since banks.he is a great shot stopper, controls the box and is great in the air too and so is easily the best keeper in the prem.
