Hibs took part in this tournement over in Ireland. They faced a hard game against Cork City in monsoon conditions.

Unfortuantely they lost on penalties after a 3-3 draw. Cork were 3-0 up at one stage and cruising but two goals by ex-ipswich player Sam Morrow either side of Steven Fletcher's strike brought Hibs level.

So it went down to penalties........

5-4 up in favour of Cork...up stepped young Jamie McCluskey (very good player, destined for big things, youngest player ever to play in the SPL) who sadly missed his penalty.

The game was sandwiched in the middle of the ongoing Derek Riordan saga in which he told his story to a Sunday Newspaper....saying that he wants to stay at Hibs and was deeply hurt when he heard he was on the transfer list

In the Papers today, Mogga has told Riordan to "Put a Cork in it"
