Default Terry appointed England captain!

Quote:
"I think everybody realises it means the world to me to retain the armband," said Terry.

"To get the armband back is a huge achievement for me.

"I heard about an hour before the news conference, just after training. The manager called the whole squad together and told us as a whole.

"For me to get it above the likes of Rio Ferdinand and the other players in the squad is a great honour."
It had to be a defender as they are normally the best men for the job and JT was the best choice IMO.

Wrong choice imo and I wouldn't want Ferdinand either.

Best man for the job imo, without a doubt. Glad to see Rio as vice captain aswell.

M'hmm, best possible choice. Just glad it wasn't the druggie.

Yep correct choice IMO. Better leader than Rio and has more passion as well.

Definitely the right choice. Natural born leader, one of the best players in the squad, and in the prime of his career. Can't imagine it would have been a hard choice for Capello.

I don't care about England but Terry was completely the right choice. Ferdinand isn't as good as him, only other choice was Gerrard but I think Terry is a better leader so it was a good decision by Fabio Capello.

Can't really argue, was going to be JT, Rio or Stevie, and Stevie was 3rd choice.
