LMA 2007 Training

Not played any LMA since the old Playstation 1. I bought LMA 2005 and could not get into it and traded it in. Now i've purchased 2007 and actually quite like it, however one major sticking point is training. It completely baffles me and if anyone can help explain it i would be most grateful. I can't ask for help on any one aspect of training. The entire concept of training within LMA fries my head. What are the best training set ups? I'm also a Lower League Manager as i prefer to start from the bottom and work up. Training is probabley the main reason why i traded in LMA 05.
