Default manager reps

i would love to be able to build a reputation amongst my players, chairmen, fans and media if it were included so that say a bigger team come in for me then the chairmen would do his best to hang on to me with a few players begging for me to stay along with the fans or if im doing cr*p then they would be calling for me to get sacked.

also if i had such a good rep then one season i dont do well i would like the chairmen, fans and players to take my past acheivements into consideration b4 giving me the boot.can u imagine ferguson or wenger getting sacked after having a cr*p season like this one?no chance!!!

Good post, something I do hope Codies put in the new LMA. Along with that, maybe if you've managed a player for a long time or gave them an opportunity when they weren't playing at all they player would like you. Then if you move clubs, they would be more likely to follow you there, because you're the manager.

I like your idea GreatGreece. Would be cool if codies added it in LMA 2006, but i think they might have to leave it for future versions.

yeh that way it will give u the sense of pride knowing that if 1 or more clubs wanted to buy a player u previously managed then the chances of him coming to u are alot higher.plus if u build a very big rep then u will be able to attract the big name players from all around the world which inturn will be further proof to ur club, fans and chairmen of how valuable u are to the club

maybe then u can start to make more demands to ur chairmen for further cash or even with certain decisions within the club which dont usually concern the manager.

I think they will implement some of this stuf in the lma 2006 but they probably already take that stuff into account for hiring and firing managers in the game.

Good idea there GreatGreece, I think they should have a lot more detail with manager reputations on the game, rather than just have some stars to say you have a great reputation I want to see stuff like players and the chairman praising you e.t.c and also at the start it should be hard to buy top players as they are unsure of your managing abilities, then when your reputation increases the better players you can buy.

how about e-mails from the chairmen congratulating you for match successes, especially if it's a good club, a good score or a cup match that you've won

its nice to know that ur acheivements at your club dont go unnoticed.what bugs me with alot of manager games is that one second the chairman will praise you and literaly the next second he could sack you.

1 time i was managing spurs in premier manager and i won the league with 2 games to go and the f.a cup and was in the semis of the champions league after finishing 2nd the season b4 and then they sacked me cz i didnt balance the accounts right and i had hardly any money to spend, but the worst part was that i had already sold defoe for 26.3 million and was waiting for the funds to come to me once the transfer market opened, not to mention money for winning the league.
very very annoying after all that success.

i think its very important in a manager game to have everything working properly and not just having something there for the sake of it or just to look good.

for example theres absolutly no point having the press ask you questions if whatever u say will make no difference at all in any way, or by having the option to critise ur player only for him to apologise and then doing exactly the same thing again, it just makes the whole point of critising him pointless.

what im trying to say is whatever extra options and new features codies put into lma 06 they must make sure that they are effective and will be of use instead of just putting things in that dont make a difference to how u react.

does any of this make any sense or am i talking rubbish?

Absolutely, well said. There would be no point in fining players e.t.c if it doesn't have an effect on them at all, hopefully codies will put features like this on the game and also make them have an affect on their performances e.t.c.
