do those stats include stat items?
If you post the starting stats and what you want your rogue to focus on its easier to comment Also best if you post on classes forum as you'll get more people seeing it. |

Aye, try in the Class forum.
Otherwise, switch Diplomacy for Bluff (because that allows you to deal more damage), and Listen (because there's only one single quest in game where it is of practical use as far as I know) and grab Use Magic Device, one of the most important skills in the whole game. The stats look good enough for an elven rogue - intelligence is indeed very important to reliably disable and find traps.

If you can't make a drow yet, elf is prolly the best for an average finesse-trapmonkey rog.
If you can make a drow, well, that would be better. Stats look ok to me, it's a matter of what you want to do in fact. As for skills, UMD should be on the list imo, very useful. Search, spot, disable device and open knock (latter not necesserely needed to be maxed out) are a must. Others are a matter of taste. That is, if you want a pure rog imo. Sir Aggravator might be right tho, asking in class-forums about this could be a good idea. |

Those base stats are fine. Looks like a 28-point version of my rogue.
The power to use scrolls and such is one of the rogues primary abilities. You should also consider taking the haggle skill. The skills you can safely dump are listen and diplomacy. Diplomacy is fun in a few quests, same is listen. Use magic device is fun all the time, and haggling gives you better prices at the merchants, something that is really helpful for a new player without tons of gold. You should also think about what combat style you want for your rogue. With those stats, I see two effective options. One is the melee-rogue, with weapon finesse and the two-weapon fighting feats and improved critical: piercing. The other is the repeater build, with exotic weapon prof: heavy repeater, rapid reload, and improved crit: ranged. Bear in mind that the search skill needs to be kept high, so invest enchantment points in that.

Thank you guys for helping
.. Anyway, since im new i dont know alot about this game, but as u now i cant choose drow. And yes its a 28 point build. Anyway when im able to use drow and 32 points, do i need to make a new character then? It sound kinda stupid to me if i must, cause it takes along time to create a new char :S

16 int is an absolute must, so thats good. You may want to consider adding one point to that at lvl 4-8-12 somewhere, so you can have base int 18 with a +1 int tome. That will give you an extra skillpoint every level, and better DD skill.
Skills you need to max out, with skill points and enhancements at all levels, are spot, search, disable device and UMD (Use Magic Device). Its enough if you max your open lock skill ranks, but dont waste action points on enhancements for that. All other skills are cool options, but not something you must have. I would suggest reducing dex to 16, and put the extra points into cha, to boost your cha skills. UMD is an absolute must imo, scrolls and wands make your rogue so much more than just a trapsmith. Weapon finesse is a must-have feat. I would also recommend Skill focus UMD. Alertness (+2 to spot/search) and Nimble fingers (+2 to disable device/Open lock) are also worth considering. I would not recommend TWF line, its too expensive in feats imo. Iron will for better will saves, Lightning reflexes for reflex saves and great fortitude for better fortitude saves are much better options. You can NEVER EVER get too high saves. My main character is a rogue, and I multiclassed with two levels of fighter for two free feats (Weapon finesses at lvl 2 and dodge at lvl 6), and two levels of ranger for free healing with wands and all the usefull free feats a ranger gets at level one and two (level 4 and 8). was just curious as to what weapons you were hoping to use, as this can affect your stats too, for instance if you're going to focus on using xbow's you wont need 10 str, 8 should be adequate, this frees up points for somewhere else...
also i would say focus on the spot skill more in the enhancements whilst keeping search up to date with skill points - the reason being, its a lot easier to use a boost or a pot to find the box once you've already found the trap but at the end of the day, the stats you've said are enough to do the job, and its YOUR GAME, so have fun with it

Do it as you like to play but plz take UMD as maxed skill.
Rogues and bards are the only class who can take it as class-skills, it is imho one of the best skill to have maxed. It can able you to use any kind of restricted items not to mention wand usage and/or some scrolls. Imho swim is not so important
