This translation isn't perfect I'm afraid, as I don't speak French myself and had to run it through afew translation programs to get a idea on what was accurate and then clean it up abit. If any of the french speaking members of the community want to clean it up alittle it would be greatly appreciated!! ---- We will begin our article on the interview of Hermann Petercheck, who took place 6 p.m. on Monday December 8, 2008 to approximately 7 p.m. 1ST1 being present for the translation between Hermann and myself. Which are the elements which will not be present in beta but which will be it in the final version? The plan is to have all content in Jumpgate Evolution included in the beta builds . Beta will have content for the low level experience, as well as high level player content.[Needs translator to clear this line up] We will find also testing zones so that the pilots can test with different the Player vs Vessels. [/Translation] How to keep a length in advance on the players, compared to the contents of the play? This problem is difficult to manage for the developers, due to the fact that the players can progress through content alot quicker then developers can create it, it is a true challenge for developers. According to Hermann, they intend instead to give players the impression of changing the game world, along side providing diverse and varied environments, this will enable players to live and experiment within the game giving a constant sense of renewed gameplay. Therefore the team chose to provide players with a universe that comes across as alive and let them make their own experiences rather then lead them through pre-created experiences. Information on the price and the contents of the updates for beta and the final version? We thus learned that there will be two types of update for Jumpgate Evolution. We will find small updates as well as large updates. * The small updates will be entirely free. But do not think that they will not be used for something. Indeed, Hermann informed us that new space zones, new objects or of new missions will be added rather regularly. * We have also the large updates. These types of updates will be less frequent than the small ones, but they will add much more contents. For example, we may see thirty zones, objects or others features, added to the game in one single large content patch, contrary to the small updates which could offer the same type of contents, but in smaller amounts. Like all other MMO, the small ones and large updates will include bug fixes and improvements . It was thus not important to announce it higher. No information on the possible extensions of Jumpgate Evolution? Will they be available in remote loading or by limps? Free or paying? We do not have much information on extensions of Jumpgate Evolution. Indeed, Hermann and his colleges do not deal entirely with this field. The method of distribution and the price, will be decided by the departments marketing and distribution. (Read as ‘Publishers’) In short, we can not go into more detail, about how that the extensions will be available, either through stores, or by online distribution. To finish, on what is NetDevil focused for the contents of Jumpgate Evolution? Jumpgate Evolution will be based on the desires of the players: the focusing of development being decided by the players themselves. For example, if the majority of the players prefer the PVP, then they will add functionalities for the PVP. In short, NetDevil is and will be listening to community, thus, Jumpgate Evolution will evolve/move according to the desires of those that are playing the game. With regard to the release of beta release, Hermann does not give us a date but specifies us that they are with the phases of in-house tests and will begin beta as soon as it are satisfied with the result. Beta would be arriving Soon(tm) And to finish, the release of the final version of Jumpgate Evolution is planned for second quarter of 2009, between January and June.

Whilst i like the fact that there's a plan to provide future additional content, i.e additional development of the game after release... i feel it's way to early to be asking about future expansions and the future direction of the game... Once a player base has been established, think of future expansions, and appease the majority - but it's best to wait and see what that majority prefer to do in game before planing additional content. Asking pre-beta about future expansions seems a bit strange to me TBH.

it's not bad for a tool translation, but why not just wait till someone's translation ? You could even have asked directly JGEWorld staff to do the translation (as a sidenote, I'm the one doing English-French translations for JGEWorld), which I was planning to do anyway, once all 4 articles were out.
Anyway Darkath already began to do the translation so you'll have the translation soon. |

Ok i'll put in better words but i don't have a super translation to provide you (as for part 4):
Those are my words, i don't try to keep close to the original one, so nevermind if you see "noob" or words like that ^^ Q1 : Hermann wishes that all the features will be in the beta, but there won't be all the features at launch (the launch of the beta), they will be added by the time. We already know that there will be noob content in beta (the odd tutorial thingy with CCP station we already seen in many vids) but there will be also features for high level players and very effective players. So there will be many things to do during beta ! We will also find training zones for the players to try the different ships and maneuvers (this is the sentence tiki couldn't translate) Q2 : How the devs will manage to keep the players entertained about the features ? The rest is fine, so i won't re-translate it, but if there is still something you can't understand, just asks
