Do it in one single thread please. The CM people have already asked you lot a few times to keep them all in one place so we can keep track and fix.

On another note, I'd like to point out that this is not the end of the world, this switch. We're doing it so we can move on to testing and get things all squared away. I know that it's different than what you've been used to for the last seven months, but it's not THAT different.

We're a good community with fantastic members who support our product and each other. Let's try to keep that up.

Its not a good way to install faith and trust if things get changed with out warning or even a fore mention, would it have been so hard for some one that knew this was going to happen to make a post on the old forums at least a week ago?

Then CM could have saved some face, sorry but for me and im sure a few others they have lost a lot of respect for this balls up. The game isn’t even in Beta yet let alone singing and dancing in the real world.

Doesn’t quite fill me with confidence on the support front if they can’t even let us know about this in advance.

They would also have saved a lot of WTF posts and vented anger at what a farce this was, ok its done and dusted now time to move on, but wait there is still a lot of the old community to come over, so I can imagine the ranting is quite over just yet.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. The ranting won't be done for a long while, while the community shifts over.

Kudos to NetDevil, I think you guys are handling it well. But as for CM, I'm not too fond of them at the moment. Might be my inate distrust of large companies

It's a website and forum switch, nothing damaging, no long term adversity. I'm hoping that people can take it with a pinch of salt and go along with it, and hope this is a rare bump from CM rather than a regular occurrence.

I really think people believe ND and CM owe them much more than they actually do. A courtesy, sure... but for a game in development to move to it's publisher's realm in anticipation of hitting a key milestone, there's just no justification for how people are reacting.

Believe me what you have seen thus far has been quite tame.

I think we have every right to voice our anger over this.

As for justification I take it your not part of the JG community? If you are you should know that some of us voice our opinions and act like drama queens over the littlest things

come on it was a first class **** up. and this is the company that we are going to put our faith into to support JGE ND we know and trust and at times dare I say love, CM on the other hand is as yet unknown to a lot of us and if this is anything to go by it hasn't got off to a very good start.

Time will tell as said its done and dusted but the rest of the rabble are just cresting the hill.

I'm very much a part of the old community, I know most of you and most of you know me. Just decided to switch gears for a new game. And I believe you're being the queen drama queen. First class? It's a minor inconvenience at most. At the end of the day, does it effect your real life? It's a game in development, it only has real effects on the ND crew.

The main disappointment was lack of notification of the switch. At the very least a days warning. ND and CM owes us a new video and some ship readouts in the Galactic database.

CM staff has done a good job of working out the bugs in the website since its debut.

To be honest hand overs rarely go great and as far as bugs go this one was great work by codemasters, the problem that is causing the griping isn't that fact that it happened it 's the fact that some of us visited the JGE forum before calling it a night, woke up 5 hours later and found suddenly that almost a years worth of discussion and ideas is going to be locked and stashed away and treated like a bunch of Museum Fremen relics

The fact that the archive won't be included as part of the search option is even worse having to say "This is a good idea that we discussed in ALOT of detail, go to the archive load up a seperate forum and then search there for ideas discussed previously" is just going to be complicating the search process which should be time saving, not time consuming.

My only issue with the new page itself is something that most likely only exists due to the lack of news articles atm. The screenshot section is pratically inside the news section, and the beta button is nearly part of the currently disabled forum section. But maybe once theres more articles it'll space out abit more nicely. Though I still say it's going to closely resemble EVE-Onlines mainpage
