So far I've quite enjoyed IndyCar Series but I do have a serious problem in that the game continuously freezes, normally while I'm in a test drive at Indianapolis or Kansas. It also happens in 'quick race' sometimes. I cant seem to race for more than one lap in some tracks before it freezes the computer and I have to reset.
The only reason I can think of for this is my graphics card. I have a Radion 9100 Series graphics card. Do i need to perhaps update the drivers? All my other racing games work fine!?!? Any help would be much appreciated!

I always recommend getting the latest drivers. Also is the game an original? If not our friend called FADE may be kicking in.

No offence intended, but you'd be surprised how many ppl come on here asking about problems with their copies of the game and its's FADE kicking in
![]() Does sound driver related though. Possibly try turning off hardware acceleration.

Um...how do I do that, and will it affect my other games?
It's quite strange really - every time I go into a race or test drive it seems to work fine for a while and then crashes. The sound continues to play in the background but the computer is totally frozen - I cant even press ctrl+alt+del. I've tried reinstalling; that didn't work. A driver update is going to take me a bit of time to download, and from the looks of things on these forums, it doesn't often help (although I'll still give it a go). I appreciate the advice - thanks everyone. Anyone with any other suggestions? |

It's always best to update your drivers as changes and fixes are being implemented daily for a variety of games. Try the latest Catalysts from Ati. Also grab the latest sound drivers from the appropriate manufacturer. Try these first as they probably will help.
If you need more help send your dxdiag to custservices@codemasters.com and a description of the problem plus game title.
