Air Strike Mission

How am i supposed to catch the second sam-battery? After taking out the first one i run like a maniac all the way to the second, killing 2 patrolling guys in the run, but wont make it in time before the plane crashes.

This worked for me :

RUN LIKE HELL to the Lake, swim through towards the beach at the left end, kill the 2 guards if necessary and SPRINT up the hill until you´re close enough (Obj. Complete Msg.) ant fire away with the laser designator. Better not to be seen, though

....and by the way, don´t bother waiting for the pilot zto blow the 1st SAM away, start running after he acknowledges target acquisition

what i did was go to the second sote first and get near to the sams
and the object 2 comes up as complete you can kill all the men there then go to obj 1 and its easy peasy

I left the SAM sites alone and secured the drop zone first.
I got a Barret sniper rifle +extra ammo from their recently deceased owners and had lots of fun with it.

after I secured the second SAM site I neutralized the highway patrol using the anti-aircraft machine gun on the 2nd SAM site.

I spent too much time for this mission and my accuracy % was quite low as well, it was fun though.

Thule had an interesting approach. In any event get your hiking boots on for this mission. This and the boarder crossing take forever. I got to the drop zone by stealthing to the lake and climbing the mountain, way right of site 2, to find drop zone (red smoke marker)watch for appraching patrols. I would then work backwards to site 2 take out snipers half way down the hill to get additional ammo.
I would kill everyone at site 1 before proceeding but come back later to laser it. For some reason site 2 has an auto sequence that puts you on the clock if you laser it before site 1. The reverse is not true giving you plenty of time to play.
