Default Server Specifications VS Players

Could someone please give me some advice as to what RAM usages vs players and Processing size when running a dedicated LAN server.

We want to be somewhere between 22-30 Players.

Specs at the moment

Windows XP pro SP1
1.4 gig P4
512 meg of ram
100 meg Netcom NIC

Thanks in-advance.

That should be ample. I would adjust your network.cfg if you haven't already. Increase bandwidth, fillpercent and choke.

Theres a recommended setup by henning somewhere

Cool .. thanks for the Reply ZZZZZ
And yes i have edited the config . Just dont want anything to go wrong this weekend!!!!!!!

Everyone always wants to kick the Admins ass when things dont work!

by the way any word on the PATCH.... will them guys be using it ?

And is true that every person that joins the LAN server has to have thier own CD KEY > !!!!!!!!!

By the way you gave me some advise before about the dedicated server

This will make the game run smoothly over LAN. The network config can be boosted up with regard to bandwidth and choke settings if you are experiencing problems.

My retail version is VERSION 1 is this the same as the 50meg dedicated server ?

The ded server pack is version 1. And online play of the new network code update has been promising. The upgrade should be available after this weekend. We'll get to see how it performs at this LAN event with muchos players Oh and the new map too
