Considering the time that has elapsed since the announcement of this game, there have been several interviews and screenshots post around the Web. This forum obviously needs to catch up. Post links to any interviews, Q&A's, articles and screenshot pages you've come across and we'll collate them in a list.

Yeah, I have that site and assumed it to be official. But I couldn't determine who owned the domain and there's no developer or publisher info/links on the page, so I decided to leave it out until I had confirmation.
If someone can confirm it's the dev or co-publisher's site, I'll add it to the list.

I had a quick look at the IRGurus page a while ago. Upon looking now, it at least seems to confirm that the earlier-discussed link of Chrille's is indeed the official site for the devs.

Heroes of the Pacific
Developer:*IR Gurus Platforms: PC, Xbox, PlayStation 2 Official Website:* www.heroesofthepacific.com Heroes of the Pacific lets gamers explore, firsthand, the major air conflicts in the Pacific Theater of World War II.* Beginning with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Heroes of the Pacific follows the aerial campaign and its heroes through battles such as Midway, Wake Island, Iwo Jima, the Coral Sea and Guadalcanal. Simply speaking, Heroes of the Pacific is an arcade-style flight combat game with simulation elements, but it promises to bring new gameplay and style to the genre on both consoles and the PC.* Why the Second World War in the Pacific?* The developers want to capture a feeling of up-close and personal dogfighting, so the speeds and ranges of modern air combat just weren’t options.* The Pacific battles of World War II were chosen, partially because the European battles have seen so much coverage, but mostly because the Pacific air conflict captures the sense of scale vital to this game.

http://www.gamecloud.com/article.php?article_id=498 Heroes Of The Pacific Interview Justin Halliday of IR Gurus talks about their upcoming WWII flying action game Australian based IR Gurus have been working for some time on Heroes of the Pacific, a action-pack WWII flying game set during the Pacific theater of the war. After Encore Software decided to depart as their publisher in the US, Red Mile Entertainment took up the reins and its now scheduled for release this fall for consoles and the PC. Gamecloud got a chance to chat with IR Gurus producer Justin Halliday to find out more about Heroes of the Pacific. Gamecloud - First, how did the idea for Heroes of the Pacific come about? Justin Halliday - We wanted to create an air combat game that featured up-close-and-personal dogfight gameplay, the kind that you don’t normally find in games such as Ace Combat. Modern day air combat is so impersonal since you rely so much on technology to shoot guided missiles at a flyspeck miles away. So, we settled on WWII as the appropriate era for our game. The technology available during WWII for air-based warfare provided the right balance for gameplay, when compared to the primitive technology found in WWI or relatively advanced technology available after the Korean War. In addition, we wanted to recreate the visceral aspect of WWII air battles where some of the conflict involved hundreds of planes. We’re proud of the fact that we’ve been able to deliver this experience by developing a game engine capable of keeping track of up to 150 AI planes within a mission. I don’t think there is another air combat game on the market that can lay claim to that. Gamecloud - What can you tell us about the gameplay? Is it a action-oriented game or more of a sim game? Justin Halliday - Our game is definitely action-oriented, and that was our design goal- we don’t pretend to be a sim. I think there are other products in the market that satisfy discriminating fans of the sim genre, so we wanted to do something different. While we’ve increased gameplay depth by adding features such as a plane upgrade system and user controllable wingmen, our focus was on delivering fun gameplay that gamers can jump right into, pure and simple.

Heroes of the Pacific Hands-On Flying high and dropping bombs with Red Mile's WWII flying game. by Ed Lewis July 6, 2005 - If there is a king among wars for videogames, it has got to be World War II. There have been countless games devoted to the cause of fighting back against the Germans and the Japanese. In Heroes of the Pacific, the focus is on the latter with battles that take place over the ocean and several different islands. Jumping into the role of a single pilot, Crowe, players will be able to take on battles all over the Pacific and get behind the controls of dozens of different aircraft. Sure, we've been to this war before, but the combat and the variety is ample reason to get stoked for another visit. It may be a bit odd that one pilot will be taking on hundreds of Japanese pilots in different areas, but it's a videogame after all and some concessions need to be made in order to get the epic tale to travel all over the place for some different experiences. The whole game will take place across 10 campaigns that contain 26 missions in all. Going beyond the regular dogfighting to defend a certain area, Heroes of the Pacific has some ground attack, ground support, escort, patrol, torpedo, and dive-bombing missions.
