Default How well do we solo?

Heya.

While waiting for my account info to get worked out (Still reloading the same 'ol webpage xD) I've been playing on an account that a friend, kindly, let me use for some "testing".

So I tested all the different classes to a level of 6ish, and so far (to my surprise) the Guardian class is the one I like the most, animationwise and by how they "felt", if you get what I'm saying.

So my questions is; how well do we solo?

I tend to farm/grind alot in the mmo's I playMMO's, and I'm not really the patient type, so I'm wondering how our soloability scales out at the higher levels (level 6 is obviously a breeze since the Shield Bash (the taunt deals a ton of damage, for whatever reason, heh) drops them to 50% or so).

We're a big group of players starting this game, and I'm going to play alot with them, especially with the Captain that a friend is playing.

Well, we are the ''strongest'' class, we do not deal the most damage, actullay, almost the least DMG. BUT! We can take on (or atleast i can) 4 mobs at the same lvl as yourself, and survive, so i guess we're good at solo'ing.

Oh, when I mean soloing I'm more interested in how our kills/hour (i.e, calculating in downtime and time to kill a mob etc) and not actually how sturdy we are. I know we're damn sturdy already .

For example: Am I going to kill myself over the "deeds" that involve bonking 200 mobs?

I get the feeling that any downtime will be almost negated by the fact that you can succesfully kill several mobs at once so in the end it may work out pretty well but I don't really know: trying to get my subscription setup has taken me almost 6 hours now, I think Codemasters forgot to feed their website server hamsters

Welcome to the club, 7 hours and going .

It's ok though, the game is great, and I only lost one day.

At least I'm not the only person going through this torment. Guess I'll just have to get up early and hope all works well then but as you say, it's only one day: many more to go

The three original moves you get continue to deal a fair bit of damage (only level 12 at the moment though) and you get quite a few 'situational' damage skills that often have extra perks. Overall, we can still put out a fair bit of damage - if we get blocks and parries. A great soloing class as we take minimal damage, have a large HP base and deal moderate damage. I'm loving the Guardian at the moment - and I thought the Champion was quite fun until I started my Guardian

As the others have said, it'll take you a bit longer to kill mobs, but you can fight several at the same time. That said, I've found the Guardian to be fairly powerhungry, so if you're planning to play a Man guardian, be prepared for a bit of downtime after a group or two, while you wait for your Power to regenerate ever so slowly. However, by lvl 15 you should have items that'll make up for your Will shortfall.

How this effects other races I don't know.
