Default Low Fps (Ati X1950XT)

Hello everyone,

Im trying to play this dam cool game, i played it at a friend of me and now im sold ;p I bought the game installed it.

But i got 1 big problem, I got low fps only 10-20 fps all time, so i cant play it normally.

I got resolution on 1024x768 and im sure I should get higher fps:
My mate got on same settings 40+ fps for sure

He got
AMD 64 3500+
1 GB ram
Geforce 6800 GS 256 MB

I got
Intel Pentium D820 2.8 ghz
1 GB ram
Ati X1950XT 256 MB

My system should be faster (benchmarks of my videocard are better and also from my processor)

I play crysis on 1280x1024 all on High with 40 fps~ and he cant play Crysis on hes system.

I tryd like all Drivers for Ati 8.1, 8.2, 8.5, 8.6
I got installed now Omega drivers but doenst help also.

Anyone got also problems with the X1950XT?
I think its some problem with the video card and the game, can someone help me please!

You didn't mention your OS. Anyway, i switched from the official 8.6 to the modded DNA 8.6. It gives me a FPS boost, and i could enable AA without the fear for random crashes during races. You will find them here

and probably you should also check your 3D settings in CCC.

Have you always uninstalled the video driver and rebooted before installing another version?

Trying to play GRID on an ATi 1950 on that resolution isnt helping. Reduce your resolution down and adjust the graphical settings. My guess is that you are trying to play the game with settings maxed out - something that card can't do.

It also wouldn't hurt to increase your RAM. And, as mentioned - what operating system are you running?
