Default Saitek P2900 wont work

i downloaded the Demo but the game is on its way
was trying to play with my Saitek P2900 wireless gamepad.
installed drivers did the test everything fine but in the game the controller does nothing
went into controller options and still nothing, the controller doesnt even show up as to program it...
is this something only for the demo?

You might need to visit the Saitek website and download the latest drivers for your pad.

I have the Saitek P3000 Gamepad (the one with the rechargable battery dock xD), it can be configured in the custom settings but I wanted to move more functions from the keyboard to the gamepad so I edited one of the .xml actionmaps. Unfortunately the pad still wasn't recognised by the game, probably due to the overly long device name ("4 axis 13 button gamepad with hat switch"). I had to go into regedit.exe and modify it to "Saitek P3000 Wireless Gamepad" and change the .xml file accordingly and the game instantly saw it as the first option.

A little bit of tweaking was needed but now the pad is set-up to my liking; accel/brake was allocated the x-axis on the right analogue stick, while the the right y-axis is called 'axisSlider0'.
