Unhappy GRID unplayable

Hi,

I have to run the game in low mode to play, but arriving to fast cars (F3000) the game is freezing, 2-3 seconds each time, is it normal with my specs?

Asus U6Sg
vista 32b business (vga gaming score 4.5)
4 Go Ram
T8300 core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz
9300 G M 256 Mo

Thanks

Are you playing in a lap top? If so, GRID isn't really supported on a lap top. However, you can do the following things -

Update drivers for your laptop - graphic card drivers
Turn off background programs before playing to increase memory
Customise the graphical settings to strike a balance that works

It's more than likely the video card. Even the highest end laptop cards (which yours isn't) pale in comparison to desktop cards.

One thing you can try if you haven't already is to make sure you play with the laptop plugged in. Running on battery slows everything down quite a bit.

Yet another issue that it could be is thermal throttling. If you notice that the game runs fine for the first few minutes and slowly gets worse and worse, it could be heat related.

It could be that your laptop clocks the speed of your videocard down so it won't heat up too fast.

I think you can edit that setting in your BIOS somewhere.

laptops ARE NOT FOR GAMING!

if you get it to run games then great but dont expect greatness in gaming from a laptop.

They can never run equal to a desktop because they have to be restricted on performance due to heat issues, heat kills pc's as well as lappys.
