Failed to Create file access MUTEX

i don't know what the error in my post threads name means but it what i get when i try and run the game in compadibility mode. i got the game through steam and set an email to there customer support which i just recived a reply to they told me to add the following to the target line -novirtual, hope this helps any one else out ther with problems, as it din't exactaly work for me but it di get me further than i was getting before i put it in which was, i'd click the icon it would appear in button bar then disappear and nothing would happen, with the above i would get the GRID logo in a black rectangle then it would crash.
