Question can't even install GRID on Vista 64Bit (SP1)

Hello,
My first Question is:
Does GRID support or does GRID NOT support Vista /btw. XP 64 bit Operation Systems. In the sys. req. there is only written xp/vista without an further description.

I tried the demo version of the game and enjoyed it. So I decided to buy the game, but now I can't even install the game.
Vista says: ...the version of the file isn't compatible with the running Windows-Vista version...
(Sorry, thats not the original message; i translated the main part from german; hopefully you could understand it )

Anybody knows how to fix that?
Would be nice CM could define the sys. req. it a bit finer next time.

Greetings

Have you uninstalled the demo? If not see how that goes. Do you have the User Account Control (UAC) active? Check in the security settings and turn this off, if you do. You will need to reboot after doing that.

See how that goes. I have Ultimate 64 edition and the game is flawless, so yes it works with Vista 64 bit

Here i`m running Vista Business 64 Bit (german version)

It seems like Windows blocks the execution of the setup.exe before the setup.exe could load any code.

I found that issue on googlesearch: It said that this could happen if you're trying to install old games like "Z" or "Max Payne". But GRID isn't an old game anyway. A Solution would be great!

Do you have the User Account Control (UAC) active? What about that? If its on, turn it off, reboot and it should work

My sentence: "No success, too" was the answer to your "Do you have the User Account Control (UAC) active?". There for I used the quotations.
I deactivated it, restarted my pc and then I tried it; but without success. ;(
Seems to will never work here ;(

Is it possible to attempt installing the game by right clicking the setup exe and selecting 'run as administrator'

If no luck, try installing the game again but using compatibility mode to change to xp when running the set up exe.

Yeah, I tryied that before.
If I do the "run as administrator" thing, windows says me somethink like "setup.exe not found".
In compatibility mode there is the other failuremessage

Where did you download the game from [GER]SkOrp? as it could be a corrupt file causing this error. My install was flawless on Ultimate 64 bit Vista
