strange, Grid will not start, just like Dirt

Hello, first I hope you understand my bad english.
I played Dirt all the way through career and was half the way in championship then it suddenly stopped working and I have not been able to play it again.And now I have downloaded Grid ,exact same thing happens.It passes starforce check and stop there.I have mailed codies and they really have tried to help me( thank you for quick answering codies),but we could not find out what is wrong, so before I format my computer I have to ask if there is anyone that know about anything I could do..... I would like to attach dxdiag but don`t know how I do it( age 55)

to attach a dxdiag: go to run, type in dxdiag, save the dxdiag(should be a save thing on the bottom right) then upload it to a download site and post a link to the download page, is one way of doing it, here is 1 download site http://www.speedyshare.com

Forgot this.
CPU usage 50 % Only ONE core is working....in Grid

I have World in conflict, Overlord,Company of heroes1-2 and Racedriver 3 installed and all of them is working perfect

similar setup to me,have you updated all your drivers?, nividia have updated there drivers here http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us, also check out the faq thread here **READ ME FIRST** Simple general Tech Support FAQ,sorry cant help you anymore as i dont know enough about the game or anything, somone else will help hopfelly otherwise next week when codies get back to work they should help

I have the same problem. I click the shortcut, but nothing happens (the process is loaded for about 4 seconds and then closes).

My specs

Windows XP - SP2
Core 2 Duo E6750 (3 Ghz)
2 gb Ram 1000 Mhz
GeForce 8800GTS

Have you tried unplugging the steering wheel? Or any other attached accessories that you are using?

I have unplugged the joystick that I have, and still nothing.

Btw: Thank you for the efforts in the support, even when it's only a demo and not a final product that you have to pay for.

EDIT: I uninstalled Kaspersky Antivirus and problem solved!! Some kind of strange conflict between the game and the antivirus??
