Default New Creative X-Fi Drivers 2.18.0004

Get them here: http://support.creative.com/

Fixes:

* Resolves issue of system crash when switching to an unsupported sampling rate in Audio Creation Mode while Dolby Digital Live is enabled.

I hope that OpenAL hardware sound functions properly now.

I can confirm that the driver is O.K. with GRID.

I am looking on the page for 'Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio' drivers and they are still showing the old one dated 2nd April 08.

Am I missing something (a chromosome perhaps)?

I think I see the driver you are talking about but it states that is it for the following cards only:

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Fatal1tyŽ Professional Series
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi

I take it I can't use it then?

You could, but there's no fix for anything important - might break something :/ sound like the last fix to an old driver, bring on the new hardware & new drivers ;p

Thanks.

Contacted Creative and they told me that the driver is no good for my card. Thanks anyway.
