Default Track Mod, race BMW, Nissan and Mustang on all 3 tracks.

After reading this post by Driftie yesterday:

If you copy the jarama track folder to the japan track folder and rename it to yokohama_docks, you can drift around jarama with the nissan. The original yokohama track folder must be renamed (for example yokohama_docks1).

The same with the san francisco track for a race with the BMW. Just copy the san_fran folder to europe/jarama and rename it to jarama. Original jarama folder must be renamed.

Demo Discussion Thread, page #24

I posted at Flatout Joint and ask, " Who good at writing batch files, someone want to make batch files to switch tracks around? "

Pav ( Pavcules ) told me he could do it and took it one step higher and made a program to switch the tracks with a click of a button. Here pic of FOJ Grid Demo Modifier and pic of tutorial on how to use program.

You can download mod here at this link:

FOJ Grid Demo Modifier

Thanks Driftie for giving us this mod idea.

Shadow working on an extra new tweak to FOJ Grid Demo Modifier. I'll post back if he successful.

Note, this mod for GRID demo should not be use online!!

Codies, how will full PC version handle mods online? And the Modders that have turn to the dark side and use mods to cheat and the guys that use trainers to cheat?

BugBear did something smart when they release v1.2 patch for Flatout 2. They had game check the database file and the script files, so when online your game could only join a host that has the same exact files.

This has work pretty good for Flatout 2. We been able to do our Community Mod that added new cars and tracks and features and we don't interfere with the stock v1.2 guys online. They don't see our mod host and we don't see their stock v1.2 host online.

Damn I'm going have to Boycott buying DIRT 2 now until GFWL issue get resolve in a fair manner for players that bought DIRT 2.

Don't feel right buying DIRT 2 if others are getting screwed out of their hard earn dollars.
GFWL stole my game

Please Codemasters and Microsoft fix this injustice to online racing! Let the WHOLE world race online like we do with GRID and Flatout 2!! Will F1 use GFWL?

Thumbs up

Bumping this thread since this find is quite useful until the full game comes out. The yokohama_docks track swaped with Jarama even has the point posts for drifting!

wow. thats an awsome tool. racing in japan instead of drifting there is a lot of fun. the track is tight and with a lot of turns, and i was surprised the AI navigated so well on it. i thought it was a purely drifting track.

keep bumping

wont this be in the final game anyway, i know you can do it on a race day but will we be able to set it up online so i can have a 12 player race around long beach in open wheel F1000s. pretty much a last man standing race through tufrn1 but fun none the less.

We checksum certain files so if they've been changed it doesn't let you play online. This should include the renaming of directories. Please let me know if this is not the case!
