No Touringcar Championship Online???

Hi Codemasters.

I tried to make a private session for online play, but I cannot find the touringcars in the list... and some more...

Why is it not possible to choose all the cars/tracks for online play...?

In the game (Singleplayer) you can choose the touringcar with 14 tracks, why NOT online???

And there should be a possibility to do a qualifying lap, we as a raceclan would like to do a championship, 2 race of 20 laps every weekend including qualifying, but with this game it is not possible.... so the start up line is not fair and wil be random...

But anyway we should be able to play all the cars online with all tracks, now we can do only half of it.... with a maximum of 5 tracks in every cup... the fact you can do max. 50 laps is good but thats it...

Now we have to go back to DTM3 or Race07 or wait for a better game with more options.... dammit codemasters, the rest of the game is actually nearly perfect... but this sucks.... 50 euro and we can't play what we want
dammit I think i will bring the game back to the shop and get me something else, there is too much ramming on the open servers, every race my car is total loss because of rammers in the first corner and we cant play what we want on a private server.... It looked so good... :-(

Its not an option because they are unbelievably slack, they wont respond btw or if they do they will come out with their cliche line "its all about the race" which in their eyes (and absolutely no one elses) seems to justify all the games faults online.

i have to agree there are many things people want for this game but theres always something someone wants to change and its not always possible.

yeah but this isnt about asking for stuff that hasnt been included in the game. its just about making certain features that have already been made, available online. Surely it cant be that much work.

I agree it should be added.
As far as I can see you cant even run the same race that was in the demo, i.e. BMW's on Jalama.
Surely we should be able to pick any car and track combination on player / private matches, then we could create our own competitions.
Surely this should have been included anyway, and I really cant see a reason that they wouldn't include it.

yeh i mean i can not race fj1000 or F3 cars around spa online thats crazy they can even race there in real life !, yet i can do it offline where there are no friends. I mean i do like the championship structure but at least private races you should be able to choose

I have found the bmws online

They are under GLOBAL and then Bridgstone championship I think.
Not many tracks to select from, but they are there

Maybe more get unlocked as you progress through singe player ? Possible I guess

No they dont. I'm afraid thats your lot, the wirdest thing is, the car / track combo from the demo isn't even available.
Come on codies, surely having the same options in a player match that we have in single player race day is a very easy change to implement.
This is my only gripe with an otherwise perfect racing game, without this it is surely gonna hurt its longevity. Could have been perfect.!

This thread is all wrong. Touring cars GRID is not, apart of it yes......

It should read Any championship, this game was never about touring cars,
but touring cars & championships in all classes online would add a diamond
to CM little baby.

Give the end-user the ability to choose any car any track combinations and to
set their own mini championship with those tracks/ cars and you have the
icing on probably the best race game in the world (notice I did not say sim.).

Damn right, why did the demo allow you to race on that Jalma track but the full version does NOT? This doesnt make sense... its pathetic that we players who PAID for the game cannot choose what cars and tracks we want to race on... gets very boring very quickly.
