Can it be that in light of McRae's unfortunate death last year that the title Racedriver: Grid would have originally been Colin McRae's: Grid?

It's just a thought, but has the Colin McRae franchise been dropped since DiRT?

I guess the McRae title wouldn't be appropriate for this game anyway as the trailers don't show any offroading.

Can't wait for Grid though, looks great!!!

I doubt i, as it was known as RDO before GRID and there was never a mention of a McRae link to this game.
The Offroad sections that appeared in the RD games were never going to be included in GRID at any point and DIRT was /is being built up to contain all the Offroad stuff leaving GRID to concentrate on the Track and Road events in Racing.
There wouldn't be a lot of point in linking Colin McRae to a game like GRID when he is a legend in the world of Rally and Offroad Motorsport first and foremost and GRID is taking the RD series in a new direction than previous outings.
