Question CMR4 or.... WRC3 ?

Hi.

I want to buy a new rally game(ps2), bored by CMR3.

I have read a lot of good feelings about CMR04, and after seeing it in motion, it apears to be far better than CMR3... but what about the tracks, they are looking the same as CMR3... 60$ again for the same tracks... hmmmm

WRC 3 is going to be released in few days in europe, check these preview and videos :

WRC3 preview

There is absoloutely no hype about this game, but it apperas to be very good, so, i don't know what doing... is CMR04 so great ?
and what you're feelings about WRC3, afetr seeing that ??
I didn't play WRC2, but played a bit WRC1, which was boring, the stering was completely awful... Was WRC 2 handling better ?

Talking CMR4 of WRC3 ????

At the moment i will prefer CMR4.
Not yet any eperience with WRC3, but as you already said, there is not much to find or heard about WRC3.
From the little i heard, WRC3 is a little bit better.
sorry.

cmr4 for the better range of cars, great graphics and fun tracks. wrc3 for the licenses, cool cars and more tracks

compile the best bits of each game into one game and you'd have the best rally game ever!

Well put it like this. Apart from wicked graphics great gameplay etc. CM 04 has a Mk1 RS1600, group B cars and a Lancia Delta which in my view makes it an oustanding game. AS for the tracks i suppose they are a similar style but there aren't to many direct copies. In some stages they used the last section of some stages from CM 03 in reverse (as well as ading new bits) - a nice touch i thought. WRC 3 will be pretty good too, if u like ur proper stickers etc. - Get both

Lightbulb different

Well mister WRC3 is just the REAL stuff man.... Exactly the real tracks of WRC past seaesons , the real teams , CARS , and most off all the real DRIVERS ! THE MASTERS OF ALL EXISTING SPORTS ! Its mutch faster than CM4 but not so easy to drive... The commands from the co pilot are the oposite from CM4 . i have both games.... I like CM4 because the setup of the car is verry detaild, Driving is pure pleasure, and the care is verry detailed , tracks also. I get a differend kick with WRC Its verry difficult to beat the rest in championships you realy have to practisch a lot, imean A LOT!!! There are much more stages and the each cars feels verry different qau driving technickes, power, grip, stabillity , you realy need to adjust your style wehn changing cars..... You woold feel the same differends in real!!! I know it first hand!!! My old shoolmate is a WRC driver (freddy Loix) belgium next year drivin with the PEUGOT TEAM!! So i follow the WRC and european championship verry close... The track are realy made with yousing GPS technology to be verry correct.

SO CM4 FUN driving with marvelos sceans, cars ,verry good playable, detailed setup of your car but not so difficcult to reach the top of the game

WRC : Dificult to learn(FUN) not so detailed setup of the car but. The rest is REAL STUFF ! Faster nicer replays, real damag much faster a damaged car ( More realistic.... you dont go twice with your kar in a tree with a speed of 210 km/h and you motor is stil almost perfect...THATS THE SAME AS REAL) Jest perfect for Wrc fans a lot information, super drivers, teams..... the best and most dificult from all the motorised sports WRC!!

CONCLUSION BY BOTH GAMES IF YOU LIKE RALLY !

I tried WRC 03 on a friend's ps2, and I was less than impressed.
I loved WRC02 Extreme, and actually only bought CMR4 as a stop-gap, fully expecting WRC03 to be the daddy of all rallying games.
Unfortunately, they've ruined it.
car setup is limited to 3 items (brake bias, gear ratio, and ride height (if I remember)) which you can change between EVERY stage, there's no tyre choice at all, and there's no option to repair damage at service areas, it just gets fixed automatically between days (no matter how badly trashed your car is)
what me off the most is that they've taken away the steering sensitivity adjustment on the setup screen. I don't have a wheel for my ps2, and I don't really appreciate turning from full-lock to full-lock in a nanosecond, it makes the car rather impossible to control, unless you're an analog stick addict - and even then, it's no holiday.
so, real cars, real rallies, real stages yes, but an appaling travesty of a game, which is a real shame as I'd been looking forward to playing this game for the best part of a year. My friend who bought it, had actually bought a ps2 specifically to play it on, but promptly decided to return it.
A terrible waste of a licence.
