UPDATED 15.01 - Important Notice – Book 8 Release Postponed

Update: We are now tracking early next week for Book 8's release, (Monday or Tuesday, subject to approvals). Due to the size of the update and the severity of the issues, our QA team will take the next few days to test the hotfixes. This time will also enable us to monitor the US service and follow developments over the weekend.

The next news update will be on Sunday evening.



Update: Momentan visieren wir für die Veröffentlichung von Buch 8 den Anfang der nächsten Woche an (entweder am Montag oder am Dienstag, Genehmigung vorausgesetzt). Auf Grund des Umfangs der Aktualisierung und der Schweregrade der Probleme wird unser QS-Team in den nächsten Tagen die Hotfixe testen. Ferner werden wir den US-Dienst und die Entwicklungen am Wochenende beobachten.

Weitere Neuigkeiten sind für Sonntagabend vorgesehen.



Mise à jour*: Nous prévoyons désormais la sortie*du Livre 8 pour le début de la semaine prochaine (lundi ou mardi, en attente de confirmation). Considérant la taille de la mise à jour et la gravité des problèmes, notre équipe QA consacrera les jours qui viennent au test des correctifs. Ceci nous permettra observer l'évolution des services nord-américains pendant le week-end.

Important Notice – Book 8 Release Postponed
Following developments overnight on the live US service, Codemasters Online has decided to withhold the release of Book 8 until the patches/hotfixes can be applied.

In addition to the instances that needed to be closed, it transpired that a serious issue with stuck characters has manifested rendering many players unable to move or to log in.

In order to avoid these problems, we have decided to postpone the Book 8 release until we can go live with the fixes to these issues. The hotfixes for the instance bugs and the stuck characters issue are currently in test with our QA department. Working around the clock we will attempt to update to Book 8 tomorrow, (subject to approval). Please note that further issues discovered on the US service may preclude us from releasing Book 8 until further hotfixes are received.

Today's scheduled maintenance will be finishing earlier than advertised.

Wichtiger Hinweis - Veröffentlichung von Buch 8 verschoben
Auf Grund von Entwicklungen in der vergangenen Nacht, die den Live-Dienst für die USA betreffen, hat Codemasters Online beschlossen, Buch 8 erst nach Implementierung erforderlicher Patches/Hotfixes zu veröffentlichen.

Neben der Tatsache, dass Instanzen gesperrt werden müssen, hat sich herausgestellt, dass Charaktere stecken bleiben. Viele Spieler können sich auf Grund dieses Problems nicht anmelden oder ihre Charaktere bewegen.

Um den Spielern ein angenehmes Spielerlebnis zu ermöglichen, haben wir uns entschieden, Buch 8 erst nach der Beseitigung der Bugs zu veröffentlichen. Die Hotfixes zur Behebung der Probleme mit den eingefrorenen Charakteren und in den Instanzen werden zurzeit von unserer QS-Abteilung getestet. Wir arbeiten rund um die Uhr daran, Buch 8 morgen zu veröffentlichen (Genehmigung vorausgesetzt). Sollten weitere Probleme mit dem US-Dienst entdeckt werden, wird Buch 8 erst nach Implementierung der entsprechenden Hotfixes veröffentlicht.

Die heutige planmäßige Wartung wird früher als angekündigt beendet.

Sortie du livre 8: le Fléau de Khazad-Dûm - NOTE IMPORTANTE

Bonjour à tous,

dû à un développement inattendu du jeu sur les serveurs américains, Codemasters Online a pris la décision de retarder la sortie du Livre 8 en Europe, jusqu'à ce qu'un patch ou hotfix nous soit envoyé pour corriger les problèmes de la version actuelle du jeu.

En plus des 3 instances sur 4 qui allaient être fermées aux joueurs, une nouvelle erreur est apparue, empêchant les joueurs de bouger ou même de se connecter au serveur.

Afin d'éviter ces problèmes sur les serveurs européens, nous avons pris la décision de retarder la sortie du Livre 8 jusqu'à ce que cela soit corrigé.
Un hotfix corrigeant les instances et les personnages bloqués est d'ores et déjà en cours de test en interne et devrait pouvoir être appliqué demain (vendredi 26 juin). Mais veuillez noter que cela n'est pas certain, sachant que nous gardons un oeil attentif sur le développement de la situation sur les serveurs américains (qui ont déjà le Livre 8 installé), et que tout nouveau bug sérieux découvert pourrait décaler la mise à jour de vendredi.

Par conséquent, la maintenance de nos serveurs prévue aujourd'hui de 8h à 16h sera raccourcie et le Livre 8 ne sera pas disponible en fin de journée, contrairement à ce qui avait été annoncé hier soir.

Seriously Satine, though I always supported CM - even in the last months - all this is getting more and more hilarious.
Us, the users, we knew about the problem with the stuck characters and the login issue (seeing the characters of other players instead of your own characters) since at least Tuesday. And you, the European Publisher and Partner of the Developer (Turbine) did not know about this just until NOW ?!
