Question How many years in the future you think the Fuel Environment is?

I have done alot of free roaming and my friend ask me this after i told him the hole story of the game.

...but do the developers or does anybody know how far in the future is the environment/land in fuel?

...i mean to be so isolated and with no animals no sign of life only traveling lifeless trucks and a couple of jets(probably monitoring the area) but it must be atlease 60 to 100 years in the future. right?

what do u guys think?

Default Maybe 1979 ....

...when Mad Max was hitting first time the screens

No seriously (or almost), I think as long as car makers like to make money, and as long as we do not have another huge war, cars will hit the streets. Maybe with different "fuel", but it will.
One indicator is, that the "old" oil countries are starting to buy-in into new fuel development. They know, they earn a fortune, and to keep this up they have to find new sources for "money-making".

Therefore:
I think this is a parallel universe, where everything went wrong what could have gone wrong...
or
Mad Max

I think that we could reach very near the state that the FUEL world is in if we keep mining oil and using it with cars. But, eventually we will run out of oil... then it is FUEL without the fuel.

Basically it is all to do with global warming, we could easily adjust to the heat using air conditioning (probably not) but animals can't, unless we give them air conditioning hence why there is no animals in FUEL. There is sign of life, the plants are still alive only just though.

We'll of got a giant ice cube like on Futurama before anything as bad as FUEL happens . I remember it saying somewhere it was an alternate reality but I dunno where...

The game fails to mention why there is enough FUEL to power monster trucks, Helicopters and planes yet not enough to move trucks and so on from the roadside.
