I think FUEL was good, I don't race online really as I always lose so that part of the game isn't a selling point. Online free roam is good on the 360 as if you go online at Tsunami Reef you almost always get a group. I think the free roam is the best part of the game because it's good to go adventuring for a while.

its an okay game, but free mode is fun, day and night is pretty neat.

After I found out the FUEL demo didn't support my joystick I canceled my pre-order for the full version...then with all the blah blah blah over modding FUEL and members being banned for improving the game I decided to spend my money else where.
After weeks of searching for a copy of a better game I ask a member of another forum who just so happens to live in Australia if he could locate a copy for me and about 2 weeks later he did...I recieved the game this week. ![]() I'll get FUEL eventually...maybe. |

I can't believe the amount of negative press and user comments this game recieved. Why? I collect racing games, and this is one of the best. Sure it could be improved, but so could GRID or any other title. I purchased the steam version of this game. It is rock solid, reliable, well designed, and fun to race as well as explore.
Improvements from my perspective might be the inclusion of **** dastedly type gadgets and weapons to heat things up a bit. It would be nice to pop sickle blades out of the sides of my wheels or to press a button to make a gatling gun or cannon appear from out of the bonnet etc. You get the idea. Suggestions aside, this is a top game and should be acknowledged as such. My children and I get hours of fun out of it.

The game is far from being "rock solid, reliable and well designed". Bugs everywhere, glitchy online play, terrible rubber banding AI, invisible barrier trees, freezes and lock ups, and the list goes on and on. Then add on top a complete lack of support, misleading advertisement campaigns, a company that doesn't take on board user comments and suggestions and does not respond to anything asked. Its not so much that FUEL is a bad game (because it isn't a bad game), it is more along the lines the Asobo Studio are bloody useless. If this game was in the hands of an pro-active company, or Codemasters directly, EA or any of the other mainline companies you could expect to see a whole lot more support, game patches and DLC. Sadly due to its current situation, this game will have to go into the "Could have been something big" categories. But as it turns out this game didn't sell that many, the majority of the ones it did sell ended up in the bargain bin soon after. If they had been immediately active with this game and issues patches and fixes then this game would have had a chance for the future. But now its install base is tiny and this game has no future and no DLC will ever become, there will be NO sequel to this "should have been epic" game.
