Names and Displays

I know this sounds REALLY petty and it probabley is. But I'm a big fan of motorsport and have always wanted to race proffesionally, but like many of us here i dont have the money (or the time). So video games are only way i'm ever going to get close to living my dream as a Formula 1 driver.

Anyway enough of the sob story. For the reason above I love seeing my name inside Video Games (Not my gamertag) I really do hope that cm's use the same sort of thing as they did in Dirt 2 as i remember when i first bought it I was soooooo excited that i could use my real name and it even had my name as an audio file (which is un-commen with a name like Shane!).

Also I was quite dissapointed after seeing the latest teasers for F1 09 as the HUD (I'm not sure whether thats the correct term but i mean the speedometer) is different to the one in F1 CE. I would really like to see the TV visuals that were F1 CE. I just think it would make the game feel abit more realistic for sad-o's like myself

Lucky, my name is 'Dustin' and it wasn't in GRID (not sure about DiRT 2)...anyway, I agree, it is definitely a nice spin on immersing the playing into the game. Unfortunately, I've been told that this feature won't be in the game

As for TV visuals, nothing has been confirmed.

What I dont get is if they are not using are names does that mean in something like carrer mode we have to be a real world driver because the last game i remember having to do that is F1 Challenge back in 2002.

I really hope CM don't ruin this game

Online will display your PSN name, right ?

I guessed that online would have your PSN or Gamertag but im talking about having my full name in Carrer mode.

none of them had the name "owen"...so I was left with something cheesy like 'maverick' or 'Mc'lovin'
