in most past f1 games the Ai has been a bit stupid, what i mean is they always seemed to follow the same line round and there was no variation, monaco f1 ce is a prime example because if you got a run on people down to the first corner and you were along side then they always just seemed to slot in behind you and keep the same line even if they were a much faster car. in grid codemasters alliviated this problem it seemed because there was more overtaking and the Ai would always look for little gaps to get passed, i was just wondering if in f1 the Ai would be the same or if there would be tweaks to it,
what do you guys think would make the Ai better than in previous f1 games or even grid??

yep but i dnt just mean overtaking i mean more detailed things like would they be able to alter there own stragtegy to adjust to changing conditions and incidents etc

f1 ce always left me feeling a little let down that everyone would follow the same routine in terms of pit stops even if the conditions changed

yh because you would like to be able to have a battle with someone without constantly fearing that your goin to be hit into the wall on in the gravel. good point

have many of you guys played gp4? the ai in that fought HARD! they would block the line and brake late, sometimes they'd spin off. sometimes they'd accidentally hit you (rare). it was excellent ai! if you were holding them up, they'd go to the inside, and if you blocked, they'd jump back to the outside and have a go. i had so many awesome awesome races with it.

Easy AI - Lay back on the couch, have beer while controlling the gamepad with one hand and lead the race
![]() Medium AI - Two hands ![]() Hard AI (This is what we want) - Fight for positions, Overtake on certain parts of the track, Keep the player on their toes, overtaking should be dramatic, the player should feel a sense of pride/happiness to overtake the AI. I hope CM delivers all these.
