First of all it has to be entertaining because although the previous games by sony where good, they felt like your doing the same thing over and over again so ideas such as these could improve the game:

*Before a qualifying or race a player should be able to look around garage from inside his car and see things like the mechanics taking off tyre blankets, Improving the aerodynamics and even the team talking to each other which will make the game more realistic plus normally in a qualifying session drivers are able to see the action on track through a tv specially placed on the car and a player should be able look at the tv and see the action or he could maximise the screen and also be able to see the lap times.
*A safety car can be also included which would be the first annd trust me it will be fantastic as another idea which is including fuel strategies can really make the game as realistic as possible.
*When sony made the f1 game the commentary was dull and quite frankly rubbish so along with getting martin brundle and james allen to commentrate fluently and not after every 10-15 minutes, Team engineers ans race directors form each team could be included giving useful information e.g who is the fastest driver.
