Default GPS tracks

I think Codemasters should get GPS data for the tracks. There was a world of difference in track accuracy between EA's F1 games and Grand Prix 4/F1 Racing Championship, which both used GPS mapped circuits, so the camber/banking/corner placement was all bang on.

Some of the scenery in GP4 was overly large though (massive trees etc), I suggest Codemasters run a video onboard of each track next to their model to ensure scenery is to scale/accurate.

Then it'd all be cool!

GPS error is +/- few meters. It's impossible to make a track using it. You can only make a raceline with GPS, but it won't be perfect, but you can't make all bumps, curbs and other staff where millimeters are important.

Well, ofcourse you can't import GPS data straight into a track designing program, but you can measure the track distance in a genius way.

I mean, nothings perfect, but GP4 tracks made with help of GPS were a hell of a lot better then those stupid look-a-like tracks in F1Challenge

Yes time has moved on and laser scanning is the new buzz word for sim creators.
