So much for the theory that "Microsoft MADE them charge".

EA just announced a new and FREE DLC pack for NFS-Shift coming this December. The pack has 5 new cars (you can actually drive all of them too!) and an entire new MP game mode - team racing.

It gets even better. A huge title update will be release alongside the FREE DLC. The TU includes none other than, bumping the MP limit from 8 to 12 players and also improved handling.

Sorry CM. I know you want to be EA but you need to stop copying what they did last gen and pay attention to what they are doing now.

Hello all, I have OFDR on PS3 but am already bored with it, so I thought i would get it for PC soley for the Mission Editor. First off, I download the demo and the graphics are SAWEEETT but it is SOOOOOOO SLLLLOOOOWWWW and laggy, I have to press enter like 7 times before i can any response from it (title menu is fine, the issues lies in the gameplay) and accually playing is impossible. So, since this game is know for it's bugs, I am thinking that either this is just a bug, or that it's something technical like processor or sumthin(I am leaning towards the latter). So here are my specs, I'm not a techie so i have no clue if what I have is good enough, and like I say grapichics were great, just Slow and laggy.

operating system: Vista home basic 6.0
Manufacterer: HP
Model: HP G60 Notebook Pc
Proccessor: AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-62 (2CPUs) ~2.0GHz
Memory: 2814MB RAM
DirectX 10

Also since I am getting this soley for the Mission Editor I want to know if the ME is worth it, like, can i have huge battles and all that?

Thanks in advance!

The game uses pivot steering. I was going at exactly 1mph and turning full lock right. The car turned as if the center of the car was stuck to the track with a bit of blu-tack. The center of the car stayed at the exact same place, it just rotated round. Isn't this similar to what grid uses? If so, i'm praying they don't do it for F1 2010. I got the video on my phone but i can't find my cable that links it to my laptop at the moment.

I recently bought a G25 wheel.
Everything works fine.
But there seems to be no force in the middle of the steeringwheel.
Its only a few degrees but when you move inside those degrees the car in game actual moves to left and right.
It got a loose feeling in the middle, i dont think its even game related coz when im in windows it also has a loose feeling.
All lot of ppl have a G25 so im kind of curious if this is normal? and if not is there a fix?

RAWANG TRAIL
MALAYSIA*

For the ninth out of twelve rounds this season we are jetting back across Africa and over the Indian Ocean for a second visit to Malaysia. This week crews will be tackling the forked, bumpy, twisty roads of the Rawang Trail, which is also a mixed surface stage. It will take nerve and skill to complete this test with a fast time.

All previous rounds standings and results can be viewed here. (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=382710)

As with all rounds ghosts will be checked for impractical cuts, and if any are found then that driver will be disqualified from the event.

Deadline is 11:59pm, on Friday 27th November 2009.

Good luck, and have fun.

SoM An introduction to Skirmishes - Spoilers.

*Skirmishes*

Skirmishes are available to all characters level 30 and above who have completed the Skirmish Tutorial (you can't skip the tutorial, skirmishes won't be available until it's completed).
You will notice that there are now Skirmish camps located at Bree's South Gate, Thorin's Hall, Esteldin, Nimrodel, the Twenty-first Hall, Ost Guruth, Rivendell, Michel Delving, Tinnudir, Suri Kyla, Aughaire and Gwingris. To begin the tutorial you need to visit a Skirmish Captain at any one of these camps who will bestow you the following quest:

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/skirm-tut1.jpg

The objective is to collect 10 War Orders, these drop randomly from orcs, goblins, brigands etc. The drop rate for me was about 1 in 3, although some complained that it took longer (probably wondering why boars don't have war orders). Once you have all 10, the quest extends and you need to find one more item: Target List. Which drops from the same mobs. The whole quest takes about 30 mins to do, so don't worry that you'll be blocked out of Skirmishes too long. When you have these you can hand them in to the Skirmish Captain, who will give you a follow up quest:

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/skirm-tut2.jpg

When you travel you enter your first Skirmish (solo), this is still part of the tutorial. Here you will meet Second-Watcher Heathstraw who will ask you to use his horn to summon your soldier. You will then have two new skills which can only be used inside Skirmish instances (these add to your quickslots automatically), one summons your soldier and the other directs it. The soldier works on AI and has no controllable skills like the LM/Captain pets. The direct skill forces your soldier to attack the target you have selected.

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/ScreenShot02157.jpg

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/ScreenShot02162.jpg

The aim of the first instance is to reclaim the South of Bree at three locations: The South-Gate, the Auction House, and Bill Ferny's home. You'll notice straight away that bree is covered in snow, and when you get inside Bree there is a direct path to follow as snow drifts block the way.
At each of the three locations is a banner which you use to show you have taken control of the area. Sometimes when you take control, the mobs won't like it and will try to counter-attack.

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/ScreenShot02167.jpg

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/ScreenShot02169.jpg

If your soldier falls you can use the skill to resummon (out-of-combat only).

Image: http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/dinkydino666/Skirmishes/ScreenShot02170.jpg

Use the banner to show you've taken control of that location.

The objective is to collect 10 War Orders, these drop randomly from orcs, goblins, brigands etc. The drop rate for me was about 1 in 3, although some complained that it took longer (probably wondering why boars don't have war orders). Once you have all 10, the quest extends and you need to find one more item: Target List. Which drops from the same mobs. The whole quest takes about 30 mins to do, so don't worry that you'll be blocked out of Skirmishes too long. When you have these you can hand them in to the Skirmish Captain, who will give you a follow up quest:

When you travel you enter your first Skirmish (solo), this is still part of the tutorial. Here you will meet Second-Watcher Heathstraw who will ask you to use his horn to summon your soldier. You will then have two new skills which can only be used inside Skirmish instances (these add to your quickslots automatically), one summons your soldier and the other directs it. The soldier works on AI and has no controllable skills like the LM/Captain pets. The direct skill forces your soldier to attack the target you have selected.

If your soldier falls you can use the skill to resummon (out-of-combat only).

Use the banner to show you've taken control of that location.
