Unhappy Can't get past the "Welcome to Stormreach" load page

Hi

I have created my account, download the client, logged on and created a character.

But everytime I try to connect to a server it gets as far as the "Welcome to Stormreach" load page and then does nothing. Finally I get the "The Connection to the server has been lost" error.

I have entered the ports on my firewall (Norton), tried switching to Windows Firewall instead, tried Permit All - and turning them all off.

Any ideas on why I can't connect. I have not managed to configure HTML as recomended as I don't know how.

Any help would be appreciated

cheers

odie

Make sure you're using the latest version of Microsoft's .net framework. I think that can cause launcher issues.

Both 2.0 and 1.1 can exist happily together. I forget which it is that's needed, so best get both up to date.

Strangely enough, the links work fine for me. I'll have a looksie.

Edit: fixed, tell me if the links go wonky again. I can only link what Satine links, updating the stickies is her job so I cannot help you there.

Default None of it works

Thanks for the tips but it is still not working.

I can get as far as my character, I hit enter, the next screen loads OK, it then goes to the Welcome to Stormreach Pages, waits then times out and gives me a "The connection to server has been lost" error.

Help !!

Odie,

Have you tried resetting the graphics settings?

To do this, click the small arrow pointing down in the top right hand corner of the launcher, select 'Options'. Click on the Repair tab and check the box next to repair.

ive reactivated my subscription and i cant play it
i have exacly the same problem... and i dont know what the hell is wrong... im not wireless.. ive configures the router from default settings to normal, without firewall, with it, with my firewall with the 2 files(3 for vista) and yes... ive removed and added again...

so... i got the "The Connection to the server has been lost" error exacly as odie e does and i dont know what am i doing wrong... ive played DDO a long ago with this exacly program and folder, and i updated everything... ive searched all as i could, talked to 2 GMs one from US another from UK, and so far... i still have this problem. i even tryed to re-install the game... it didnt worked.... now my next step would be to re-install windows... i hope i find a solution before doing it, i have important stuff in here that i dont want to waste half week to put it back to normal.
anyways... this happends with all my characters and even if i create one... it still works the same...

i would thank any possible answers to this problem... i want to play DDO as fast as possible and im just stuck on this problem without answers.
