Im quite sure that there must be ppz who are or have tried to play with w2k. just does it work, 'cause mine is not working and i dont wanna reinstall all stuff just for fun

I'm afraid Win2K is not supported. From this thread you will see that the minimum spec required is as follows:

Minimum System Requirements for High Resolution Version
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.0 GHz or compatible (must support SSE)
Video Card: Radeon X800 or GeForce 6 6800 GT w/ 256MB video RAM
RAM: 1 GB or more
Disk Space: 5GB
DirectX: DX9c+
OS: Windows XP Home or Pro

My friend and I are playing on Win2k SP4 without any troubles. Feel free to PM me or post here the specs of your system and we can try to help you if you like

Also played the Beta with W2k and had absolutly no problems with the operating system. So even if it´s not supported, you´ll hopefully have no problems.

TY Renaorn and Sir Cobra .. as i tought it should work on w2k (as many other games that "requires" XP :P).
Specs:
* w2k SP4
* newest DirectX drivers
* newest ATI drivers
* P4 3.0 Ghz
* X800XL 256Mb
* 2 Gb Kingston HyperX
* Internet connection 8/1
- latency/ping between 40 and 65
- package loss < 0.2%


So I'll write description one more time:
If i make new character, I cant m0ove from docks -> reload game -> I can move to the tavern yard and Im again freezed -> reload game -> if I put ring on or take armor off Im again freezed -> reload game -> If i talk to guard Im again freezed -> reload game -> ...

On my view it seems that character is moving, but bounces back to the spot where im standing (Satine said that I'm not actually moving), I can't wear / unwear on inventory tab, I can write and I can receive messages.

Some other things:
On the game launcher i have news feed error mesage:
This is an unexpected token. The expected token is 'TAGEND'. Line 31, position 3.

Log out (game menu) doesn't do anything. I have tried this only when freezed.

Wow, now that's some kind of a weird issue you got there To me your specs should allow you to run the game without problem. My comp is not even as good as yours (AMD Athlon XP2500+, 1GB DDR dual channel, Geforce FX5200, W2k SP4).

As for the "feed" error message, no worries, I got the exact same one and that doesn't prevent me to play at all.

Do you use some kind of firewall ? Considering your issue, it seems that each time you try to access to the game database you freeze as if the game is waiting for some input but can't get it. As a test, try to shut down your firewall and then launch the game to see if the error comes from the said firewall. If not, well, that promises some heavy brainstorming to figure out what the heck is happening to you

I tried without firewall .. nothing happens. It seems that I'm stuck now permanently - I can move only when I rename profile folder (my documents/dungeons...). But every time when some interaction comes front of me I'm freezed again.. this is quite frustrating because there is no help from developers.

Yes, I know it can be frustrating. Unfortunetly, since W2k is not supported, they won't give you any help (otherwise that'll cause a breach where any other w2k users will ask for support). It's not that they don't want to help you, they just can't because they must respect their specs policy. You'll have to rely on other users, and we gonna try
Some questions :

* Did you try to uninstall/reinstall DDO ?
* Do you use the high res version from preorder pack or the beta client/downloaded client ?
* Did you try to use the one down arrow pulldown menu on the launcher and use there options/repair/reset display settings ? (in case of a video loop causing your bug)
* Can you reproduce the problem with another character ?
* What other tasks are running in the background of your computer when you play ?

Might sound like a tech support questions but I'm not close enough to Finland to come and kick your comp myself so I had to ask

ya, but some any playing with w2k and i dont see anything why it should not work

firewall & antivirus (tried to turn those off, no affect)

two more things:
1) noticed that when i run near of other player i freeze
2) launcher logs me out when i start the game, should it work this way?? i can see login screen on the launcer even im in the game
