Default D&D promotes Satanic Worship.

Anyone remember when D&D first came out, the uproar it caused?
People claiming it promoted satanic worship?
Then came the Famous D&D murder, when a player murdered their DM when he killed off his 18th level charater. This just added fuel to the fire.
There was even and episode of Taggart, about it.

Ah, the good old days.

Well it does, lol, I have the book of vile Darkness and it explains how to set up cults worshiping demonic and infernal entities....

Yeah, I remember that. Funny I was only about 12 or 13, and when my aunt found out that I played D&D she rang my mother and sent her an article she found about it - an attempt to get me out of D&Ds evil grip soon followed...

Couple of years later I joined a Real Life Roleplaying Club (for those that don't know its where you physically play your character and run around a cave network/woodlands hitting people with rubber swords and casting spells - absolutely excellent fun if you can bear the embarrasment of getting a train home and still having a face partly sprayed white because you have been playing a winter elf). The locals near the cave network moved to get the place shut down because of the evil rituals that were going on there!!

Firstly, all DnD certainly doesn't promote Satanic worship. Secondly, even if it did, it takes more than a book (film etc.) for someone to head down that road.

LOL - I hope not, unlikely unless its very old footage. I haven't done any LARP for about 13 years now and yeah it was great fun (but took some explaining to my then girlfriend - I was disappearing every sunday for about 3 months, totally uncontactable, with very sketchy answers to ''so, what did you do yesterday?'' In the end I think she suspected me of seeing someone else, when I tried to explain it to her she wished I was! )

lol..I was kidding, i was just reminded of the feud between two of the black metal bands that led to some band members being killed and others burning your beautiful wooden churches.... did the memebers of these bands play D&D?

And what is it with this Mortis guy... lives in a cave, wears a latex Troll mask and makes black metal ... this makes Ozzy, Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson look like sunday school bands..lol ... actually having heard both Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson speak they both seem to be highly intelligent and sane individuals... poor poor Ozzy ... can anyone tell me if it is true the Marylin Manson was the geeky friend from the TV show "The Wonder Years"
