Default Three Reader Reviews Of Downhill Domination

From Gamespot - the two reader reviews on there:

---

[Score it 8.5] Downhill Domination is one of the most fun games to come out in a while, with it's sense of speed being it's greatest asset.

The game let's you earn new bikes as you progress through it's career mode(which is quite rich in it's level variety)and there are also upgrades you can buy for them as well as other things to buy like new music & a mode in which the bikes are stretched out of shape...you gotta see it.

The game has a few flaws, but they are VERY minor...one flaw is that there is unfortunate slowdown when you play with multiple players & you end up onscreen all at once in the same spot...another flaw is more of a complaint, the soundtrack isn't all that great...generic stuff here.

Those two minor problems aside this game is great in the departments that matter : Control & Sense of Speed...it passes with flying colors...

If you like racing games or you like mountain bikes(and who doesn't like those two things??!!)then you need this game, and for $39.99 you really are getting $49.99 worth of game!

[Scored it 8.9] Surprisingly excellent: It plays much like SSX tricky but the courses are even longer. There are also more courses over all than SSX Tricky. The combat is much better than SSX because you can upgrade your combat abilities and the AI will fight you back (depending upon difficulty level).

In fact I'm not sure why GameStop gave this game a 7.5. If you actually like arcade racing games, this is easily one of the best in the last 2 years (ranking with BurnOut2). There are several alternate paths in almost all of the tracks. Some sort of award should go to whomever designed the courses and the game engine can draw these huge levels with an amazing level of detail and speed.

Gamers looking for something like Tony Hawk may be disappointed because the trick system is not as fully developed as those games. This game lacks some of the personality of SSX, but the racing engine is too good to care. I also don't care how good or bad the music is since I turn it off immediately. This easily gets a better score than 7.5
