Default Issue with gamepad

Hey guys, frigging awesome game the only gripe i have is that i cannot use my wingman rumblepad from logitech. i can set the controls in the options but in game, the vehicle wont budge which i find odd. if any car bumps into me, i can feel the rumble...but my car wont drive. any particular reason for this?

thanks!

I use a microsoft sidewinder, it's old but works well in dirt demo. I had to select customize though for it to actually work in game. I could not see an option to select gamepad or controller so i just pressed right arrow on keyboard to select customize and it worked, first time the car would not move, hehehe!.

But what an awesome demo though.

good to see im not the only one. the logitech rumblepad2 is one of the best pc controllers out there.

strangely enough, my game is not responding to the keyboard either. the car refuses to accelerate, but i can change views/look back/turn left & right/pause and navigate menus...

I have a logitech dual action (cheap i know but..) and you have to select customise (when the tick is next to it) and then make sure you save it (the screen goes out of focus) then go straight into a race DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS, graphics, profile anything. Then it will work.

I presume the final game will have an easy to see option to choose a gamepad?. I know it's only the demo and not the final finished polished product so i wonder if it's a bug of some sort?, because i find i have to keep changing the control setup every time i fire up the demo to race, for me for some reason it's not saving properly even though i have previously saved in the control setup menu, strange but true.

The fact that it isnt supported doesnt matter. A gamepad is a gamepad, it should still work. Its just so so annoying that the controls are so sensitive on what is otherwise an incredible game!

hey all... I too have a logitech rumblepad 2 and could not get it to work initially with dirt. Then i enabled the logitech control panel(logitech profiler) and set up the controls. Now when I play the controller works fine with all the vibrations set to go
Hope this helps anyone out there
cheers
btw, i'm using version 4.60.349 of the logitech profiler
