A CO representative has posted in this thread Codemasters needs you! (DiRT 3 focus testing)

Calling all gamers! How would you like to play DiRT 3 before anyone else?

We’re looking for people of all different ages and gaming experience to visit the Codemasters HQ for a day of focus testing. ‘What’s focus testing?’ I hear you ask. A focus tester plays the game and gives us their fresh perspective on what we’ve done so far. We want to hear what you liked and what you disliked so we can it even better. (Obviously we’re hoping you like it!)

DiRT 3 has more cars, more locations, more routes, more events, and more fun than any other game in the series. This is your chance to be one of the first people to play DiRT 3 outside of Codemasters. You’ll also be grabbing a unique chance to meet the developers behind the game. So are you interested?

Before you jump up and down at the chance we’ve got a few small requirements we need you to look over first.
  • You need to be free on the Thursday 3rd of February. If you have work or go to school you’ll need to arrange some time off.
  • You need to be able to get yourself to the Codemasters HQ in Southam, UK (near Leamington Spa). We promise it will be worthwhile!
  • If you’re under 18 we will need your parents consent.

Still waving your hand in the air? Great! Then to register your interest we just need you to answer 5 short questions so we can get to know you better.
  1. What’s your age?
  2. What’s your Gamertag, PSN ID or Steam ID?
  3. What are your top 3 favourite games?
  4. On average how many hours per week do you play games?
  5. Why would you like to come and play DiRT3?

We’ll be contacting the lucky individuals next week, so don’t miss out, apply today!

Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast)
rFactor(PC)
Team Fortress 2(PC)

16-20

Why would you like to come and play DiRT3?
I'd love to see what improvements have been made to the handling model, DiRT2 was a great step up from DiRT. Also, those group B cars have me drooling! seeing a good range of wheel support would be nice too, although I guess this goes as said since F1 2010. I've always had part of my eye on game design as a possible career (I'm @Coventry studying automotive design atm), so just being around the studio would be pretty interesting to me too. Intruiged as to how the physics can adapt so well to Gymkhana, and how it feels using a pad to do that, I've had doubts looking at the trailer.

Keep up the great work!

Default Focus Testing

Age - 21
PSN ID - Wackorocks1080
Top 3 - Dirt 2, Black ops, F1 2010
Av hours - 10 hours a week
Why - Been following the update of twitter & can't wait to get my hands on the game. Plus Colin McRae games were my childhood so meeting developers from the company that made it would be epic.

Thanks for your time.

What’s your age? 18
What’s your Gamertag or PSN ID? on xbox Ultilink, same for Steam
What are your top 3 favourite games? TF2, Forza 3 and DiRT (as two doesnt run on my laptop, and i dont like buying doubles of a game)
On average how many hours per week do you play games? varies from 15-40 hours, average 25
Why would you like to come and play DiRT3? Because i felt that the first DiRT game was really good and easy to pick up, but not perfect, and the few times i played DiRT 2 on a friends console, i found the controls a little twitchy and a little harder to adjust to, and would like to see if 3 keeps the awesomeness of the first while keeping the general structure of the second (world tour stuff, more types of rallying). Also, ken block is my favourite driver. 'nuff said.

On average how many hours per week do you play games?

Why would you like to come and play DiRT3?
I'd like to come not only to play DiRT3 but to see the awesome things you do. about 3 years ago i tried to get some work experience with you guys but never got the chance due to insurance and this would be my chance to actually come see you guys, see how you work and finally set foot in the CM HQ!

DiRT3 looks absolutely epic and the new features you've thrown in there are even better. I would love to be one of the first people to experience the intense graphics, immense gameplay & have a go at some hooning on the Gymkhana mode.

Ill even make tea for everyone!

Cheers guys.

1. 19

2. GT: o0 i3laCkOuT 0o - PSN o0i3lackout0o

3. F1 2010 (360), Gran Turismo 5, Bad Company 2. [Favourites at the moment, change all the time tbh]

4. 12-18Hrs

5. I've always enjoyed taking part of Beta tests and responding in the forums, but although doing that on a large scale is good for the game, sometimes you never really feel you can get your point across to the developers in just a forum.
