DiRT 2 PC US Shipping Date

Hi Guys a lot of people have been asking what happened to the US release date of 1st Dec. I've had it confirmed from our US office that the shipping date has been moved from 1st Dec to 8th Dec.

This is not due to a technical issue in any way shape or form. The actual reason is far to boring to go into to be honest.

How about Germany and Austria? Is it already rleased? It says 3rd december right?

Yes it seems there was 2 trucks on the docks.One truck filled with returned "FUEL" games from unhappy customers and the great "Dirt 2" game in the other truck. By accident , a new shipper/receiver shipped out the returned fuel games back overseas to the US instead of "Dirt 2" ;-p. Once the Fuel games are returned again, Dirt 2 will hit the US in full force ;-).

Action has been taken and the noob shipper/receiver will be forced to play fuel online for 10hrs a day (minus 1 hour lunch break and 2 30 minute rest periods to prevent a seizure from the bright flashes every time you pass a checkpoint) over the next few weeks so there is at least one player online to race against for those that kept the game ;-p

Boring or not, I think most of us here in the forums would like an answer to why DIRT 2 got delayed.

Since the demo was delayed for 2 weeks because of a major bug, we have to assume the full version on disk has same bug. Ice can you tell ask if the demo bug was only with the demo and not with the full version of DIRT 2?

stop with this release date nonsense, give us the game!

Am all ready crazy mad on the tv and movie industries stupid release dates (cinema, US then a 3 months to a year later here in EU!!!, no wonder why people pirate tv/movies so much)

atleast enable preloading on steam!

Just like scheduled, so it's really not CM's fault of that delay effecting the US.
But why isn't multiplayer working? It tells me I have to be logged in to Windows Live but I am

Where do I have to enter it?

If Steam can sell Dirt 2 today, in about 2 hours from now, to USA players, why does Gamestop have to wait until Tuesday Dec 8, to sell retail box in the US?

I just don't understand why all stores in the world can not release on the same day. Like a Friday!!!! Most stores get game a week in advance.

steam has sold it along while, its just that steam unlocks the game today at 9 PM (GMT+1) atlast in €urope

why do US guys whine so much?, EU has been so behind on many things

might well just go play tomb raider until someone clicks on the unlock button (lets hope its a THE BIG one this time)

Well it did say 2 hours. Now it says 7 hours till unlock

I just refreshed steam and it went from 2 hours to 7. Here we go...
