16/7 - DiRT 2 Release Date Announcement & 4 New Screens

We are pleased to announce that Colin McRae: DiRT 2, the next chapter in the legendary racing game series, will be shipping on X360/PS3/Wii/DS/PSP on September 8th in North America and release on September 10th across EPAC territories with a UK street date of September 11th. A Games For Windows LIVE edition will follow with support for DirectX 11.

Taking players on an exhilarating World Tour, Colin McRae: DiRT 2 will deliver over 100 stunning events, including aggressive, multi-vehicle races and intense solo challenges, set in the most diverse and demanding real-world environments. From the muddy tracks of the Malaysian rainforest to spectator-packed stadiums in London and Los Angeles, racers will compete in contemporary off-road race disciplines covering Rallycross, Trailblazer, Raid, Landrush, and Rally.

To coincide with the news about the release date, we have also released a brand new batch of 4 screenshots, and these can be found in the official DiRT 2 Flickr Picture Set.

I guess it is appreciative that codemasters are continuing with their support for the DirectX technology and i'll be interested to see what direcx 11 looks like. But imho i still think directx 9 has so much to offer and is better in some ways than what directx 10 has to show.

But anyway..looking forward to driving the delayed PC version of dirt2.

Looking at your low post count you must have just joined the forum and are a bit confused. This is the forum for DiRT 2. Questions for the Grid patch should be typed in THE GRID FORUM.

Waiting for the Grid 1.3 patch is annoying, but not as annoying as people who keep posting about it in the wrong place...

I am not confused. I posted my message here because codies have stopped replying on the grid forums. We are all irritated.... might as well spread the discontent among codies themselves.
