Smile Codemasters Make me angry lol.

Dont take this too seriously this is more a suggesstion thread, i guess im a person that has been playing the Colin Mcrae series, i think the promotion of DIRT shouldnt probably be compared to the Colin MCrae series at all, however, i dont understand why the COlin Mcrae series neveer progressed to anything, when it had so much going for it.

Dirt 1 wasnt really a masterpiece of a rally game compared to alot of passed rally games it was almost Surprising the lack of rallying in the game. The graphics yay, was really fun for a little while but why go backwards?. WHERE ARE ALL THE REAL LOCATIONS, the MUD,the GRIT,the actual real DIRT not a slightly dusty and slightly drizzly rally representation with a nice damage model.
Where's New Zealand? Monaco, Wheres Sweden!?!??!?The hard core stages of Argentina and the worn out roads of mexico and the Thrashing rains and mud of the UK all over your windscreen at 5pm !?!?!?!? where is the WRC in your face snow freezing up over the windows????? The 5-10 minute stages?
we arent back on the playstation 2 days, technology now should gives us the best rally game ever made? yet nothing, just an arcade game that is fun after a few beers and an occasional twisty speed romp but after a few hours becomes a yawn fest tier after tier that reminds me of just a larger version of unlocking stages in ridge racer on a patch of slightly dusty road with enhanced lighting effects.
This game should of been called partially DUSTY and slightly DRIZZLY because i cant remember ANY real dirt or Mud or rain or heavy snow or anything splashing over the windscreen or any really heavy terrain in Dirt 1. I'd Love to see the REAL Colin Mcrae rally game.

DIRT 2 hopefully is going to meet todays technology and give the public the best rally game, not just a crap representation of a sport that doesnt do it justice. If the cars , tracks, drivers, all need to be fictional because of spending money on licenses then fine then fine, just call the car Suburuni and the Fiat fiart and the renault renalty and the drivers instead of Loab call him Laab, whatever just make a better rally game, why not make it the best FICTIONAL rally game ever made , its mainly all fictional anyway accept for the cars. Throw some more weather and grit all over the place and get back to what made colin mcrae great in CM2005. Bring back New Zealand and corsea and rocks in the middle of the road, chuck in ditches at least on the simulation or harder difficulties. And make all the ditches and obstacles random every race you play. So when it loads up all obstacles are randomised. THAT would be a great rally experience. Throw in weather patterns that change in the course of stages, throw in Night time rallies.

JUST MAKE A BETTER RALLY GAME!!!!!!!

If NONE of those things are in DIRT 2 and we just get a nice little lighting and stage lift and a million unnessasary cars that have nothing to do with the WRC sport itself , then i guess ill have to go back to COlin mcrae 2005 or Richard burns rally, or a better rally game.
unfortunately there isnt anywhere else to turn to for todays rally gaming accept codemasters otherwise id turn elsewhere for racing, which i have with Race 07 and rfactor which are amazing brilliant games because they are more than just games, they are almost the sports themselves Race o7 and rfactor even the old TOCA 3 series were and ARE really pushing the boundaries of gaming. at least these companies at the very least actually give a **** about the ACTUAL REAL racing Sport itself and at least try to give a realistic representation of the real sport. Not just a watered down arcade game.
CM games went downhill when Colin Mcrae died he must be in heaven looking down saying "WHAT THE HELL are you doing to my poor rally series?" . The morning stages , mid afternoon stages, the afternoon stages, night stages, NOTHING like that in DIRT. Just nice lighting and an impressive damage model.

Talk about going backwards in the rally genre.

I'm actually totally with you here - I loved the direction of the old games and i was hoping they'd actually return to this with the new one. It's not that i'm against what DIRT was, i just wish they'd included more of the "rally".

That,s why I don,t get what CM is actually thinking..., everyone asking them for Rallying ONLY, and they continue doing what they want.

They say Rally is dead, but I here I see everyone asking for more rally events, so I guess It,s not that dead, right codies?

Did Dirt actually sell good with the tons of problems we had to face with it?, If didn,t, then I don,t understand why they want to continue with this "dirt" policy xD
